Old Jack Frost Has Returned

It is officially time to de-green the garden. Maybe I should say de-brown the garden because that is what color it will be in the morning. It is freezing ~ 31º.

I thought that my irises and tulips had a second chance. After I chopped some of them down they started to sprout again. Had I known that earlier they might have had time to grow and bloom. After they came up this spring it froze so only some of my irises bloomed and none of my tulips bloomed. I will know next time.

I have to do something with the Hollyhocks as they are too thick and grew like a bush rather than getting nice and tall like they are suppose to.

I could not believe that I had frost on my windshield when I got done working. I thought that it was just moisture so I turned on the wipers. Holy cow that is frost!

I hate the thought of driving in the winter.
