It’s A Great Day To Be Alive
We had an awesome day today. Remember it is September in the Frozen Tundra. We use the air conditioner during the day and the furnace at night. We have yet to use the furnace but there have been a few nights that I wanted to but that would have defeated the purpose of Dick leaving the bedroom window open.
Here is Tyler and a couple of his buddies doing what boys do best…getting dirty. I could not resist taking pictures.
Alexa is staying at a friends house ~ again! She is the social butterfly! Nadine has a friend spending the night here ~ again. A different girls each night. Both very nice girls.
Just call me Miss Lucy! This gal that is staying with Nadine is very respectful. I tried to tell her to just call me Lucy when she was calling me Mrs. H******. She said but I like to have respect for you. But that is not my name and my last name is hard to pronounce. I can not get it through her head to call me just Lucy.
I have heard thank you Miss Lucy many, many times tonight. Some of the times I did not even know what she was thanking me for.
This girls is absolutely gorgeous and very book smart but lacking in common sense and coordination. Her sense of humor makes up for that. She has me laughing all the time ~ she even gets Dick to laugh. Gotta love that kid!
Even Tyler had an overnight guest last night. I agreed to having him again tonight but that did not pan out.
We took the girls to the dance in town and I did not feel like driving home then back to town to pick them up so Tyler and I bummed around. We had supper at his restaurant of choice ~ McDonalds.
There were three families there at the same time as we were. I did not realize that these people had children with them. I did not see one childs meal when their order came out. When they were leaving they stopped and got ice cream cones ~ the adults did. None of the children got an ice cream cone! One little girl about two really, really wanted one she was crying and pointing. I noticed at this time that all the adults had soda glasses and all the kids had water glasses. The same little girl that wanted the ice cream cone had toddled up to me and said hi and pointed. I thought that she was after Tylers toy but now that I think about it she may have been pointing at my fries. The mother came out of the playland and apologized. It was no big deal she was a cute little sweetie pie. (I surely do not want babies of my own but I cant wait to be a grandma ~ to real children not just kitties.)
After those families left I felt terrible about wrapping my fries in my McChicken wrapper and depositing them in the trash can.
When we left I asked Tyler if any of the kids were eating anything. No just the big people were eating. This saddens me ~ even if the kids had already been fed why take them to McDonalds and have them watch you eat.
Maybe I am all wrong about this whole situation ~ but that is what I witnessed.
I can not believe it! I just lost part of my entry. I was adding bit by bit. Now I can not get back. Maybe the OD Master is switching over to 4.0. I will have to wait until I can get back in to see what I did have saved.
So I got back in and only lost one little bit. I can write that in another entry for forget it all together. It must have been that part that was not needed. Hehehe 🙂 It was only about Dick.
He is on an over-night ride with a bunch of guys. It worked out perfect with my schedule since my supervisor changed my schedule with my approval. Hell yeah I will take a Saturday off!
Copying everything ~ Just in case!
They are not getting dirty – They are applying mosquito repellant. Have fun “Just Lucy” 😀 – – –

Love the pictures!! LOL! I have one that is very similar of my son. He never met a mud puddle that he didn’t love. His favorite thing to do was to jump into a mud hole and watch the mud fly. 🙂 ryn: If you can sew a straight stitch, you can learn to quilt. Although…you are so busy with your work and kids, I don’t know when you would squeeze it in. 🙂

LOL Tyler looks like he is having a good time!! I got reunion pics back from the negatives of WL’s…they are awesome…not blurry like the ones i got from DK’s cheap disposable! This time i will e-mail them to myself from uncle M’s…but you will have to teach me how to copy or paste or whatever to my snapfish account, then to my diary.

I think little boys are “wired” to get filthy. My 13 year old still does that and loves it. :)~ Cleaning up afterwards is no fun, but letting them do it and getting the pics is priceless! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
