only in south louisiana

so im behind this young woman at wendy’s in thibodaux yesterday for lunch. it was around 2:30 in the afternoon and we are the only two people in the place. how long does it take you to say i want a number 1 with a diet coke?

well the person in front of me was not so simple. first of all she was ordering a kids meal for herself (nothing wrong with that) but was wanting apples instead of fries …and on the burger was making a list of what was to be on it. minis pickles …you get the drift? no you dont. i havent heard mayonaisse pronounced miness (??) in years. the young woman taking the order would repeat it until finally she realized it was mayonaisse and pickles the girl wanted and not minus the pickles.
