my brother…

i don’t tell you often enough how much i appreciate you being my brother.. i think at times i take you for granted, being there when i’ve always needed you even during the silence that stretched between us for a time.

i don’t tell you often enough how much i love you for being you. for the words you speak to me. the things you do for me. the smiles you give me and that tight hug you somehow know i need at any given point in time.

even over the miles that separate us, we are still close together. i see your smile, i hear your voice, i feel your arms wrapped around me in that bear hug that only you can give me. i hear you tell me how proud you are of me, and i can only choke out in a small voice thank you.. for i am proud of you too.

i don’t tell you often enough how much you mean to me. how important you are to me. how incomplete i felt when that silence yawned.. that vaccum sucked us both within then turned around and spit us out together when as one we reached out and connected like we’ve not before.

i don’t tell you often enough how lucky i am that you are a part of my life. how lucky i am to be able to call you friend. you are more than a brother to me. you are one who has allowed me to open my eyes and see more clearly. you are one who has helped me get back on my feet. you are one who has helped me find my balance, and you are one that convinced me i am more than just a sister to you.

i don’t tell you these things often enough. how very much i love you and how much you mean to me

my brother.. i love you more than i could ever possibly express with mere words…

Aww, how beautiful to have such love and affection for your brother and he for you : ) Nice to read the happy stuff, Whimsical. Hugs

Wow, when my kids grow up, I can only pray that my daughter would say words such as these to my son. They’re 10 and 8 now, and my daughter (who is the oldest) always seems to hate her little brother, much to my grief.

I wish I felt this way about my brother. But I really…can’t. You know, I don’t think I’ve ever even hugged my brother before…

How really special this is to read. An only child, I can’t really comment much on this except that, like the noter above, I so hope my children are able to find this sort of closeness and support with and in each other. Hugs to you.

This is lovely Whimsical. Thank you for sharing.

Sweet dreams :} warm hugs

Have decided that you’re a librarian or deeply connected with books in some other way, you have such a wonderful command of language. You could be a professor. I have these thoughts about people, especially well read. I need a spell, if you have one that zaps me to 45 I’m your woman. Do a hover over my diary and say the magic words 😉 Lots of hugs

Okay … I’m out enjoying Spring alot too … but … come on back for a visit Whimsical! ; ) (magic spells or not, hehe ) Hugs

Happy Earth Day : ) … okay, I admit it was just an excuse to stop by and see if you’ve been writing again yet. Hope Spring is treating you well. Hugs

I’m missing you sigh. Just thought I would let you know that. Warmest Hugs

*winks*

Just wandering through … hope you are well : )

All is well here. Computer is at Mom’s. My work schedule is a little weird but good. Will be writing again soon. Be well to All… 🙂

Smiles (I’ll open my diary again sometime soon) Take care,

Good morning sweet Whimsical 😉 Poof my naughty notes of recent entries have gone down the tube! Thankful your diary is intact, otherwise, I’d be banging my head on the table. Soooo….how are you? I’m great with lots to tell you. Spain is hot hot hot in more ways than one. You would love the Alhambra, very romantic. Love& Hugs

Would you believe in high school literature I memorized 1st Corrinthians 13, the love chaper. I believe it touched my Lit teacher, and she passed it on. You’ve written beautifully about it and your ability to love. Like Akira said, you make lovely words…and so does she, doesn’t she.. Hugs to you (neat diary title, too)
