THE OASIS AND MORE

 I think I’ll start backwards. We came home yesterday. I have a nasty cold so I’m sleeping and coughing and sneezing all over the condo. I am not going anywhere.
To sum up the cruise I would say it was fare. I think I am not a cruise person. I have been on several cruise and most of them I didn’t particularly enjoy. Not exactly sure why. 
I did find it difficult to walk around the ship as it was BIG! I only got to the internet and library once as it was just too far for me to walk.
The entertainment was excellent. The first night was HAIRSPRAY – too bad I saw it twice before. The aquatic shows and comedy shows were great.
The friends we went with seemed to go off on their own. Usually we met for supper in the dining room but otherwise we were on our own. Not bad but not exciting.
The food was ok. The portion sizes at supper were cut down to a very reasonable size. I am not complaining. Instead of a plateful of fries there were about ten. Two mini burgers etc. I think the ship was smart to cut down on portions. There is no more captain’s buffet at midnight which is also ok.
I was surprised at how much smoking areas there were.
For whatever reason I never went to the casino.
I never bought anything when we got off the ship. Maybe I’m tired of the same old same old.
The weather was excellent. In Labadee, Haiti, it was way too hot and humid. I was glad to go back to the ship. I know now that I do not do well in heat and humidity.
All in all I would say I had an ok time but don’t think I’ll be cruising for a long time.
I think the ship is way too large and I don’t see any purpose in making them larger.
I know there is more to offer. I would prefer smaller ships that offer specialties like one for golf, one for families etc.
I know you’ll say THERE GOES GINGER AGAIN ALWAYS COMPLAINING. THAT’S YOUR RIGHT! I CALL IT THE WAY I SEE IT. THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT IT.
Last but not least my hubby was ready for bed about nine and never wanted to go to any of the later shows. Sometimes he gave in. By the end of the cruise I wasn’t feeling well so I didn’t care but it does put a damper on things. He does not have an interest in anything but golf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time to do my washing. Someone beat me to it this morning.
