LAST NIGHT IN TORONTO
This is my last night in Toronto. It’s unbelievable how fast the weekend went. It was wonderful!!!!!!! I am so glad I came. Tomorrow I leave at 6 so I have a couple of hours to do some messages all alone.
I have to:
-get gas for the rental
-transfer money from RBC to Bank of Montreal
-go to my cousin’s to pick up stuff for her
-go to St. Urbain Bagel to buy cheese bagels and party sandwiches to take back to Florida(might not do this)
-go to Chapters to find out how to work my new mini Kobo
get to the airport by three so I can return car
have a delicious lunch because I don’t know what I’ll have available at the airport for supper
I have to decide if I’ll check out real early or go out, do some messages and come back to the hotel
Anyhow Friday afternoon my daughter came. We went to pick up her boyfriend around five. Then we went to a restaurant for supper. Soon enough my son called and joined us with my three grandchildren. YIPPEE!!!!!!!!! We had a delicious supper. My grandchildren came with em to get some food. We saw some donut holes. Of course they wanted some. I told them to each take one and eat it right away. We wouldn’t tell anyone!!!!! FUN!!!!
Saturday morning we went to the Bar Mitzvah. My great nephew did wonderful! I was so proud of him! Then there was a luncheon. My nephew, the bar Mitzvah boy’s father made a wonderful speech. He told his children that the most important thing is putting EFFORT into everything. He also told them to follow their passion whatever it is. I am so proud of him and his family.
In the afternoon my cousin’s son came over. We went swimming. Of course the children had fun. For supper we went to Chalet Swiss. My cousin’s wife joined us. We sat the kids at one table. The five of them bonded and had so much fun. We then left them and went to the Bar mitzvah party. It was great to see family members that we hardly ever see.
I am always disappointed because one of my nephew’s wife and family never attend the celebrations. Apparently his children are in school, university etc. They were busy with exams. I think they are putting their education and getting 100% before family. I know education is important BUT WHAT ABOUT FAMILY?????? I am sure his brother, the father of the Bar mitzvah boy) was disappointed but use to it. SAD!!!!!! Nothing is ever said. I guess you have top accept what is.
Today we went to a huge mall. My DIL wanted to go. I suggested she leave the children at the motel so they could so swimming etc. but she insisted everyone go to the mall. She took off alone. I went with my son and grandchildren to a bookstore. Then we met for lunch. My other son and daughter came too. They ate and left. My daughter and I stayed in the mall for a bit longer. It was warm and I got tired of shlepping around my coat etc. I was happy to leave. My daughter came back here. We both fell asleep.
For supper we met my two SIL’s. Interesting conversation.
Now I am packed, ready to go to sleep, and wake up to go back to Florida tomorrow.
That all sounded a bit exhausting, but fun! Have a safe trip.
