THE LAST FEW DAYS

I am in Albany New York – about four hours south from home. I really wanted to make it today but in the end I couldn’t. I think I was just too tired all day. I missed a turn on the highway and the GPS took me on a tour of New Jersey. Then I got off at the wrong exit for Albany. I have been here maybe 100 times. I just couldn’t find my way to Wolf road. By the time I did it was about two in the afternoon and too late to continue home. I didn’t want to drive through the mountains at night. So I stopped at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Then I sat at Barnes and Noble for awhile. I am at a Microtel now. They are clean and cheap! Rooms are small but so what? I tried to have a nap but couldn’t fall asleep. I think I am suffering from anxiety! I am so ready to be home. I was planning a wonderful bath!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyhow it will have to wait until tomorrow. I will leave early and go directly home sweet home. Hubby is in New York and will also be home around noon. In a little while I will order some pizza for supper.
I spent two wonderful nights with my friend in Philadelphia. She is very laid back so it is relaxing to stay with her. Her husband was also friendly and we had some great chats. While there we went to tour the new Jewish Museum. It was very interesting especially the wagon train. I never realized the wheels on the wagon are HUGE!!!!!!!
My friend is a hoarder and a collector. She has hundreds of books. Some must be worth a lot of money. They are all over!!!!!! She has all types of antiques. She saves everything – tins, plastic bags, plastic containers etc. You name it she has it!!!!!!!!!
So I think I’ll go now. Will play some games on Facebook and then order my supper. Next entry will probably be from home!

I like Micro-tel’s. Yep, they’re small, but they’re cheap & clean.

So close, and yet so far! I bet you are anxious for the driving to be behind you and a tub full of bubbles before you to soak away the road grime.
