IF TOMORROW WAS YOUR LAST DAY ON EARTH

As I was swimming this morning I thought about what I would do if I had only one more day to live. It’s a difficult, and easy decision! So many ideas flooded my mind. Of course there are the very selfish things I would want to do but then there are the obligatory things I would want to do. Maybe I could combine them!!!!!!! So this is what my last day on earth would look like.
I would take a pill which would allow me to have energy all day and be able to eat everything and anything without getting full.

LOCATION – JERUSALEM, ISRAEL – SUPER HOTEL

SUPER PARTY – Those invited would be select members of my family and a few, very few friends. Of course I would be paying everyone’s trip in full!!!!!!! After all I wouldn’t need anymore money.

MUSIC – Jewish, some Elvis, Paul Anka, Barbara Streisand etc.

AT THE PARTY – Israeli dancing, Macarena, Hands Up etc.

ENTERTAINMENT -On TV would be reruns of all my favourite TV programs – I LOVE LUCY, HONEYMOONERS, ALL IN THE FAMILY

FOOD – this is a big one. Food would be served all day until late at night. There would be tables loaded with snack food.
potato chips
french fries
kraft dinner
filet mignon
lamb chops – first cut
cupcakes with icing
chicken soup with knaidles
all kinds of ice cream
all kinds of chocolate bars
peanuts, almonds, macadamia nuts jelly beans

SHOPPING – I would go to the largest bookstore in the US and buy hundreds of books. After I have the pleasure of buying them I would donate them to a library

We would go to the DEAD SEA to swim. We would go to a spa. We would all have a massage with all the works. One person devoted to making us each very happy and comfortable.

ART STUDIO

First I would go to an art store. I would buy a huge amount of art supplies – papers, canvases etc. Easels too. Everyone would spend time painting or doing some type of creative work.

So I think this is what my last day on earth would look like. There would be balloons and other decorations. I would invite some of my favourite entertainers who would magically become alive for the special day!

1. Paul Anka
2. Frank Sinatra
3. Lucille Ball
4. Jackie Gleason
5. Golden Girls

So this is it. I might come back to this entry if I think of more things but I imagine what came out here is what means the most to me.

This is great but it sounds more like a week than a day! LOL

I think I’d just want a quiet day with family and friends, just to talk. Dunno. Youngest son waded in the Jordan & the Dead Sea and brought me back soap made with the clay from the Dead Sea. It was very cold when he went, but it was an amazing experience for him. RYN: I almost missed your note! Sorry!

I like the idea of shopping for books and then giving them all to libraries. I would want to shop for lots of things to give to the people I love! :o) !! hugs, Nicky

I would most definitely go hit on the plane to spend the day with my grand kids and all of my families. If I have too I would fly every where to see them on my last day~

I’d ask for an extension on that last day – maybe make it two, especially if you have to shop on your own to buy all those things 🙂

Wow, this is something I’ve never pondered. I will have to think about. I do love the idea of buying books just to give away. Too many don’t read enough. RYN: Her surgery is Thursday. You’re such a sweetheart. Cora loves butterflies and fairies (especially Tinkerbell).

Sounds like a great idea! Perhaps you could organize it all (except for the big spending) and enjoy waking up the next morning. It will feel like being re-born. lololol.
