A WONDERFUL EVENING

Yesterday morning we walked over to the synagogue. It took us about 25 minutes. We stayed about two hours and then walked home. We didn’t do much in the afternoon. I had a nap and then a bath. Then we waited for the kids to come BREAK THE FAST! We were all pretty starved by the time we ate.
I realized something yesterday. My eldest son can and will willingly help me in the kitchen for parties etc. Why did I never think of one of my sons for company and help in the kitchen??? Why did I only miss my daughter at these events? I have two sons who can take her place? My son bought the food on Friday night and helped prepare everything on Saturday night. I don’t give him enough credit.
He had an idea yesterday. He wants to buy my hubby an IPAD. My hubby wants one. It’s a perfect idea. I don’t know why we didn’ think about it for his birthday. My son will look into it and we will order it or buy it so he will have it for his trip to Florida.
I am not sure what I am going to do for Florida. I am not sure if I will stop in New York. I was planning to put the hotel on hubby’s Visa. The other day he said that he was giving me money and I wasn’t to put the hotel on his Visa. I am not sure how much he is giving me so I don’t know if I can afford to stop or not. I have money I have been saving in a large coke bottle but right now I have NO idea how much I have. I’m sure I have at least a couple of hundred. I’ll decide after we come back from Toronto.
So last night the kids were here. They were pretty good. My DIL seemed to be sick or in pain when she came. She lay down on the couch trying to sleep. After we ate she felt much better and even helped clean up and we had a talk. I asked her why she didn’t come sit with me and she said it’s because I was sitting in a corner and it would have been difficult for the kids to come in and out of the aisle. I am so glad I mentioned it instead of being angry.
So we had a delicious supper. What wouldn’t be delicious after fasting all day!!!!!! My son went home with the kids about nien. My other son stayed until ten or after.
I was planning to go over to my friend but my son stayed so I didn’t feel I could leave. My friend had all her family over to break the fast so I would have loved to go over. Maybe I’ll see some of them today.
So that was my day and night. NOW I BETTER GET BACK TO SLEEP.

yes, men are just as capable as women are when it comes to kitchen duty…..we have just let them get away without bothering for far too long. hugs and smiles P

Glad you had a good day! We have a family tradition at big events like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, etc. The men and boys all do the clean-up. It’s a good example for the boys, and it really allows us women to relax after preparing the meal. My dad and brothers have the same tradition daily in their homes. It’s good you talked to your DIL. Her reason seems logical! 🙂

Things are different now, men do a lot more of domestic duties around the house then they used too. It’s because women work too and the laod has to be shared, no one can do everything! Glad you had a good day!

ryn: I was planning to move to the Sedona area in Arizona, it is a huge resort area and a lot of the people who go down there are really into energy healing so it seems the perfect place for me to be. I already talked to my youngest daughter about it and she said she would LOVE to move down there with me. So I will have her with me at least.

My three boys have always been the ones to help me in the kitchen. Their wives or girlfriends seldom did.
