A BUNCH OF NOTHING-edited

Leave me alone.
A friend just called to ask me if I want a prayer book for the weekend. Apparently I gave her a book a few years ago when I cleared out most of my religious books. That’s when I gave up religion! I don’t want the book. If I wanted it you wouldn’t have it!!!! I tried her to tell her very politely that she shouldn’t bring it to the synagogue because I probably won’t be there. If I’m there I don’t need a prayer book as I won’t be praying. I could care less!!!!!!!!!! The only reason I might go tomorrow is if my son goes and I don’t want him to sit alone.
Leave me alone!
It’s YOM KIPPUR tonight and tomorrow. For many years the family got together tonight for supper and tomorrow night to break the FAST. We don’t eat for 24 hours. Many people don’t fast for one reason or another. I don’t have to because I am on medication but I have always fasted. However for the last few years I cheat mostly by drinking water and maybe having a cookie etc. I’m a hypocrite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My married son wrote that we should get together tomorrow night. He said my other son offered to host "BREAK THE FAST!" Have you heard from him? I haven’t and I don’t care. By the time 7:30 comes around hubby and I realized we aren’t that hungry and we don’t need or want company. Coffee and a piece of honey cake is usually enough. Meanwhile I am making hubby and I supper for tonight. I am preparing a yummy supper for the two of us.
Chopped liver
Chicken soup and knaidles
beef stew with lots of potatoes
One of my sons wrote that he could host the supper or bring food to my house tomorrow night. I will wait to see if my other son answers. It would be much easier for me to go there because then I wouldn’t have anything to do.
I just realized that my children will be surprised/upset by a lot of what they read here in OD. I am sorry. Maybe I shouldn’t leave it for them. I don’t know!!!!!
My supper is defrosting on the counter. I have to put the stew in the oven but it’s only 1:30………..too early I think.
I am planning to fold three loads of clothes and then have a nap.

I will continue later. The bell just rang. My eggs are ready.

IF YOU FAST I WANT TO WISH YOU AN EASY FAST AND A HEALTHY NEW YEAR.

I always thought the jewish religion and its traditions went hand in hand. Obviously not. hugs P
