HURRICANE IRENE
I wonder if the hurricane has affected where you live. We are watching the news carefully as we want to know if the hurricane will reach us. So far the forecast is for alot of rain tomorrow. If its raining in the morning maybe we’ll leave early.
Today I went shopping with some friends. I needed to buy some new bras especially one for my new dress. On Monday I will go have it altered a little. My black pants also have to be shortened. After shopping I came home for a nap. I don’t know why I get so tired. I slept for awhile and then walked over to friends. One was getting her hair dyed. I played two games of Scrabble but it isn’t much fun as we didn’t keep score. I don’t really cares if I win but I think it adds to the excitement if we do. Hubby and I went out for supper. Then we came home, watched some TV and before ten we were in bed. Maybe that’s why I’m up now at three.
I’ve been cleaning out the trailer. I have about five bags of craft supplies that I’ll give to a friend in the morning. I’m sure I would never use the so why not.
I have a very busy week ahead.
Monday – dressmaker at 11-maybe visit a friend in the hospital
Tuesday – neurologist at 2 – Go for a drive after myself!!!!!!!! WHOPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At night bridge.
Wednesday – facial and pedicure
Thursday – hair
Friday – Toronto for about 5-6 days
I’ve been wondering if there is any chance my son messed up my plans to take my grandson to see LION KING. I usually NEVER think like that but for whatever reason I keep thinking about it. Was he jealous? Was there a reason he didn’t want me to spend time with my grandson? It’s actually unbelievable but stranger things have happened. This is the weekend he has alone time with him as his fiancee is away with her two kids. Anyhow it’s in the past now. I can’t wait to ask my son how he enjoyed the play.
Strange as it might seem I have been enjoying the trailer more as I’ve been socializing more and not waiting for friends to visit me. There are only a few weeks left as we are closing on September 17. After that we have my son’s wedding and the Jewish holidays. Then we are leaving for Florida the beginning of November. Time is just passing too quickly.
I have been doing the Wii again but not at the trailer. I am at my lowest weight I’ve been for a long time. If I could only get under 200!!!!!!!
SO IT’S THREE THIRTY. I hope everyone is safe.
Take care.
Good night.
I heard on TV that Irene will come into the path of 1 in 5 Americans! That is a lot – but we are far far away, thank goodness.

I’m in the middle of US (Iowa) so safe from Irene but wasn’t safe from the hail storm on the 18th. Well, I was safe just the house and vehicles weren’t. Gotta remember what’s important.

I live in Arizona, so there’s not threat here. But I did spend all day Saturday and part of Sunday watch coverage of the hurricane. I have family that lives in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. I haven’t’ heard from them but I understand the flooding s pretty bad all up and down the east coast. Hope things didn’t get too wild where you are. -Jon

interestingly, the newscasters were saying that the further up you are in a high-rise building, the greater the windspeed – so a category 1 hurricane, or even a tropical storm, can become a cat.2 or 3 storm if you’re high enough up.

RYN: We were in Vancouver, then Alaska cruise, Rocky Mountaineer to Jasper, bus trip to Banff then flew out from Calgary. Had a wonderful time and would do it all again if we could.
