FRUSTRATING DAY
This morning my cousin picked me up so we could go shopping as I wanted to buy a new outfit for the two weddings I have. We went to the first store. The saleslady said she didn’t have anything so we left. We drove to the store that I wanted to go to. There was so much traffic on the way. My cousin knew where to go and she didn’t. I tried not to say anything about the way she drove or the way she was going. It was hard!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyhow we finally arrived at the store. The two salesladies tried very hard to find something for me. I was so frustrated and disappointed. Everything they showed me was black!!!!!!!!!!! I was taught black is for funerals. I want to wear something fun and bright and light. I almost ended up with a black pair of pants with a black tank top. Then they wanted to sell me a shear blouse with large circles on it. They said it looked good!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t stand it!!!!!!! BUT I thought they must know. However in the end I walked out with NOTHING. I am sure I have a black pair of pants and a black tank top in my cupboard. I don’t have to spend hundreds. I didn’t even look at prices. So now I am not sure what I’ll do. I think I’ll look in my cupboard and take out my "fancy" clothes. I’ll try on what I have. On the weekend I’ll go into town and check out what they have. Then if I don’t find anything I’ll go with my cousin once more next week. If I don’t find anything I guess I will just wear what I have.
My sister in Toronto went with another of our cousins today. I’m anxious to talk to her to see if she found anything…………
So that was my day.
We played bridge tonight but we were missing one so we didn’t play a very serious game.
Time for bed.
Some days nothing goes smoothly …

I am fed up with everything in clothing being black too…over here in NZ it seems to be almost the national clothing colour….even my kids wear heaps of black. I have always been a rebel and LOVE colours…lol. I do hope you find something suitable soon. hugs P

I’m with you on black at weddings, however, it’s now a color brides are making a PART of their wedding, so I don’t think it’s a hard and fast rule for more casual wedding ceremonies. This is a bad time of year for buying something colorful, everyone is putting out fall and winter selections and it’s about a month past the summer sales.

I would never wear black to a wedding, either. Here’s hoping you find something suitable.

I am with you, I do not wear much black, it washes me out. I look really pale and sick so I have to put something else with the black. Love,
