PACKING

Hubby’s getting ready to leave for the condo. I’ll be packing. I have washing to do but since our dryer is NOT working I’m not sure what I’ll do……………. I wonder if we could put up a clothesline???????
I’m busy planning our Memory Night. Actually we might start some time during the day! Maybe they will come for lunch. I guess I have to list or decide on the "activities" and then try to figure out how much time we’ll need.

So far:

chatting about old memories
go through each room and trying to think what USE to be there
appetizers
old favorite toys etc. displayed in living room
photo albums to look through
trivia about the Golden family(I’ve been making questions for many years)
supper – not sure what yet
I’m also thinking of inviting old friends of the kids and us about 8 to help us share memories (I’m not sure about this one yet) Maybe I’ll be too tired!
SHARE A FAMILY HUG!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have any other ideas???????????
Better do the WII.
Tomorrow is a big day……………….hubby has to go to the dietician and I have to go to the neurologist.

I think your memory night is SUCH a great thing! Here are some more ideas: -For the food, prepare each of your children’s favourite childhood snacks -Take about 5 of your favourite family photos to Kinkos and ask them to enlarge them with colour photocopier to 8.5″ x 11″ paper (no need to get actual photo enlargements, just do colour copies)

-play a card game or other game that you all used to play -the trivia game is great!! Maybe just keeping a family event will make it more special and intimate… and having other guests will add so much work/stress for you!! As for the clothes drying, yes, why not get an inexpensive clothes rack! Clothes dryers are such a North American luxury.

P.S. Are you able to remove all the blank space at the bottom of your entries? It seems to be getting longer and longer, and when I view entries on my phone it’s a LOT of scrolling. Just put your cursor at the bottom of the entry, and hold ‘delete’ till you get up to your text. 🙂

Oh.. about those enlarged photos… I thought maybe you could put them on the wall in the room where you’ll all be spending the most time. Actually, if you have family photos from through the years, those would be fun to use! 🙂
