ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION- edited-edited

I have a headache. I think it’s anxiety. I don’t think I’m depressed. I think it’s more anxiety. Anxiety because of Passover and all the work involved. Anxiety because we are moving,

Hubby wanted to go over to the condo this morning to check where we are going to put the new fixtures. At this point I could care less but he wanted me to come so I went. A total waste of my time because all I could think of is my work.

My daughter arrived late Friday – about two. I woke up at six yesterday so I was exhausted all day. I am definitely NOT what I use to be.

My son came over about lunchtime. I invited my other son over. We went to a local delly for lunch and great conversation. Then hubby and I went to look at fixtures. I picked some but I am not sure. Maybe we’ll go back with the decorator. It’s just that I am too involved with Passover now. I don’t want to think about moving. It seems like a DREAM!!!!!!! Actually I never cared about fixtures etc. All I want is a light!!!!!!

At six people came to see the house. They are very serious. They offered the same as the last offer. I guess we aren’t going to get much more. Hubby made a counter offer.(489,000)  Everyone who walks in thinks they have to spend about 100,000 for renovations. They probably do but why is it our problem. Years ago when people bought a house they renovated when they could afford it – no all at once if at all. Now people add the price of renovations onto the price of the house??????? Anyhow we’re asking 499,000. We have been offered 429. Do you want to know what we paid????????? about 34,000. Wasn’t it a great investment????????

After they left my daughter and son also went out and home so we were left alone. By this time I was so tired. We had an easy supper and then I lazed around. I have no idea when my daughter came home.

So far today hubby and I hung up the signs that we post every year listing who was at which seder. I made chocolate chip matzo farfel cookies. I made the hard boiled eggs and hubby peeled them. The turkey is roasting. It should be ready about nine. I made the salt water. I’m making the mock chopped liver as I type. WE PUT UP SOME DECORATIONS.

Tomorrow I will have my cleaning lady here so I have a long list for her to do. Mostly cutting up the turkey, brisket etc. I don’t know how I ever did all this alone. Of course some years my sister was here.

We are soon going out for supper.

Wishing everyone who celebrates Passover and Easter a very HEALTHY and HAPPY holiday with family and friends.

that’s a lot to be anxious about. maybe you could take an hour for yourself and try to relax? take care,

That’s understandable! Mehmet tells me I get too worked up about pleasing people when they come over, when the truth is, their expectations are not nearly as high as my own. I’m sure that in terms of you hosting people for Passover, the situation is similar. Hope your cleaning lady can help you lots!

Yes, you have so much to do and doesn’t it take us longer and longer and longer than just 10 years ago? Eaggghhh!

Maybe it is time for someone else to do Passover dinner? Just a thought.
