ENOUGH-A LETTER TO THE WORLD

Sadly, we like killing each other. I don’t know why any cares about what someone else believes, or who they love, or the color of their skin. We’re animals, all of us, and there doesn’t seem to be way to deal with our natures. This is why I like Vulcans.

It is all about ego, our egos makes us think we are more important than others or we are right and they are wrong. It is completely stupid and futile. Until we all get rid of our egos, nothing will change I am afraid.

I agree with you 100% … and, sadly, I do believe that those who go to war in a war that is not any of their business or choosing, who often come back damaged in body or in mind, not to mention the damage their families suffer, and of course those who don’t come back at all .. are doing so for no good reason at all. One side of my family has a long military tradition in the sense that they havebeen willing citizen soldiers not army folk in peacetime, but in war. The other side has in one part a long tradition of farming, resisting going to war, and in another part, were among those targeted by Hitler and many others before him. They all died .. and in a way those who died “for” something did nothing of the sort, because the world continues to be plagued by war … while the others just worked and lived, laughed and cried, and then died. War changes nothing, except the lives of those touched by its horrors and brutality — the way to put an end to war is clearly NOT by more wars.

so many focus on differences & not enough on our common humanistic similarities. it’s a shame that so many are so willing bother to tear the world and each other apart. no one -wants- to suffer &yet it goes on & on for centuries. so many blame religion for all the world’s turmoil, but religion is bent by -people- to use as a weapon. religion is beautiful!!!!- but human ego/prejudice is not.

well said. I disagree with your firsyt noter who says we humans actually like killing each other. I believe we were created noble beings ( in the image of God…spiritually)…but sadly many do not realize that and they become indifferent to violence fopr whatever reason. We all have two sides to our nature, some folks just choose the darker side but most are good. Thanks for this entry…we need such passion about the issue. hugs P
