ISRAEL AGAIN

In light of the recent terrorist attack in Israel, the Israeli/Palestinian conflict has been on my mind 24/7.
After exchanging several emails with a pro-Palestinian fave on OD, I would like to share the following thoughts.
Israel is a country under constant scrutiny and condemnation by the majority of the world.
Essentially, Israel can never do anything right, particularly when it comes to protecting their own people.
Every action they have taken against terrorism has been met with criticism, protest and pure hatred.
And that’s precisely the point.
Israel is a hated country.
In the same way that anti-Semitism is alive and well in every single corner of the earth – and will always be alive and well – Israel will always be under attack, as long as it remains a Jewish state.
Israel is a miracle country. The 6 day war, the Yom Kippur war, pretty much every war that Israel has ever fought has been an outright miracle.
The fact that they are a tiny country surrounded by terrorist-ridden and Jew-hating Arabs and have not been destroyed is a miracle.
The damage that they have suffered from terrorism in every major and minor city has not stopped them from flourishing in the areas of science, medicine, engineering and every other type of invention.
It is a country overflowing with charity, brotherhood, holiness and beauty.
Yet, it will always be hated, condemned, terrorized and non-supported by most of the world.
Why is that?
To ask that question is the same as asking why the holocaust happened, or why slavery happened, or why the Rwandan genocides happened or why massacres in Bosnia and Chechnya happened.
Not every question has an answer.
The world is wearing blinders.
Those who support the Palestinians and the notion of a two-state Israel that is not running with rivers of Jewish blood are not only naïve but have blinded themselves to the reality of the past and present.
It is impossible to negotiate with terrorists.
It is impossible to make peace with those who celebrate death.
It is impossible to make peace with those who glamorize suicide bombings.
Every Palestinian is born innocent.
However, they are indoctrinated from birth with a virulent hatred for Israelis and Jews.
This isa fact.
Essentially, every Palestinian is a potential terrorist.
That is incredibly unfair to every Palestinian born into that culture.
They have not asked to be indoctrinated with those beliefs.
They are having their lives and futures stolen from them.
However, Israel must deal with the reality of who the Palestinians are.
The occupation is necessary.
It is saving Israeli lives every day.
If not for the occupation and if not for the blockades, no area of Israel would be safe for Israelis.
It is not the ‘innocent’ Palestinians who have brought this on themselves.
It is their ruthless leaders, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Palestinian authority who have brought this on them.
The Palestinians are treated horribly by those who control them.
Their leaders live lives of luxury while the Palestinians live in poverty.
This prevents them from rebelling against their leaders while it keeps a fresh image of impoverished Palestinians in public media, continuing the lies and propaganda against Israel.
The truth is this: Palestinians are treated worse by their own leaders than they are treated by Israeli soldiers.
People say that Israel doesn’t care about the Palestinians.
Israel at least has a valid reason to have little concern for them as they are trying to kill Israelis.
It is noteworthy that no one else seems to care about the Palestinians either.
Not their leaders. Not Hamas. Not the PA. Not every other Arab/Muslim country that surrounds them.
The quest for peace is ridiculous.
The Palestinians (and here I am talking about the leaders) do not want peace.
They want Israeli blood. I’ve said this before and I will say it again. They don’t want peace. They want blood.
Every time that Israel has made a concession of land, the Palestinians have used that to get closer to Israel and attack them.
In 2005, the Israeli army evacuated 8,600 residents of Gush Katif and gave the land to the Palestinians.
Gush Katif was a virtual paradise, a land filled with greenhouses, beautiful vegetation and magnificent synagogues.
The Palestinians came in, desecrated the buildings, trashed the greenhouses, and used the land to launch missiles into Israel.
For all their complaints about not enough land, not enough infrastructure, and not enough building supplies, they sure used that well.

For over 10 years, terror has been raining down on Israel from the Gaza strip.
In 2008, Israel, after suffering serious terrorist attacks, bombed Gaza for 3 weeks.
The world was horrified. Three weeks of attacks?
Ironically, no one seems to care that Israel has been under attack for 10 years.
There are Israeli cities that were bombed daily for months.
No one cared.
No one cares.
My goal in this entry is not to convince anyone to care.
I am simply expressing my thoughts and beliefs on this matter.
You are entitled to your own, I simply speak the truth.
As I have said before, much of the world has fallen prey to Arab propaganda and is currently seeing the situation through blinders.
I am not trying to remove those blinders.
I do not have the power to do that.
You can call me a Zionist.
To me, that is an honor.
I will support Israel through it all.
They will always be in my heart.
my prayers for israel. take care,

ryn: I don’t mind you reposting part of my entries. Just do me a favor and maybe link to my diary? I would want people to be able to respond directly to me. The pro-palestinian diarist has the name olive tree.

“Every time that Israel has made a concession of land, the Palestinians have used that to get closer to Israel and attack them.” This entry was well written and sadly, true. Those who are blind will not see that the Palestinian leaders are the ones unwilling to live in peace with Israel. Land is not all they want. They want an end to the State of Israel.
