PERFECTING MY WORK
YESTERDAY I had my stained glass class. Before I went I decided that I should relax, take my time and perfect some of my work. So when I went to class I started at the top of my large abstract stained glass piece and fixed each one so they fit better. I was very lucky as my teacher spent a lot of time helping me. I added a new colour – blue. So now my piece is red, white, yellow, blue and turquoise. Oh, yes. Black too. I was rushing to get it finished but I realized that there is no rush. Instead I should try to get it as close to perfect as I could. Next week I start foiling. Maybe I’ll finish it in the next few weeks. Maybe not! Who cares? So what?
At night we played bridge. I had such LOUSY hands…………very few points.
Today we have a meeting about the elevator. Actually it’s an executive meeting and all that is supposed to be done is announce when the work will start on the new elevator. Right now it is planned for March 7. We want it postponed to April 1. Our friend who is in a wheel chair will NOT be able to go out for three weeks as he is on the fourth floor like us. If the board does not change their plans the investigative reporter will get an injunction. We hope it doesn’t come to that but it probably will. The president and the rest of the executive are hell bent to do it on March 7.
After the meeting at 11:30 I am meeting my cousin for lunch. Then I have some messages to do. Not sure if she’ll come with me or not. I have to go to the bank. I have to transfer money from my Canadian account to my US. I am finally starting to pay off my bills. I am very very proud of myself!!!!!!!
I also need to go to the Kosher store so I can buy some meat for Friday as I have two couples coming.
At night we are going out for supper and then playing DOMINOES.
So it will be a full day.
I have been watching what’s going on in EGYPT. I wonder what the outcome will be.
I hav started to do an hour on the WII when I have the time.
My sugar levels have been great lately. It was five before I went to sleep last night.
We are still looking into a cruise on one of the large ships – either the OASIS or ALLURE OF THE SEAS. One couple dropped out as it was too expensive. We have to get together with our friends to make final plans. Maybe Thursday night.
The weather has been wonderful this week. Sunny and hot! Sorry to all of you who are having a lot of snow and cold!
I have started to think about home and all that will have to be done when we get home. PACKING! PACKING! AND MORE PACKING! It will be exciting and also nerve wracking and sad as we leave our home of more than thirty years.
I think that’s all the news from here. I better get back to sleep.
sounds like you have a lot of good fun things coming up. it will be sad to leave your home of 30 years. but, you will make new memories in the new place. take care,
