A FULL DAY AHEAD

This morning I had two repairmen come. One fixed the dishwasher. Actually he told me it was "normal" that the dishes don’t get completely dry. He told me that I should just air dry the dishes. He also suggested I use JET DRY! Maybe I’ll buy some but I hate to spending money for cleaning supplies so maybe I’ll just dry the ones that are wet after the washer finishes as I have been doing all winter. No big deal. I just thought something was wrong with the dishwasher.
Next the man came to "fix" the garbage disposer." Turns out there was the top from a bottle of water inside. He removed it and some other junk. He asked us for ice and threw that down. He said that cleans the blades. So that’s done!
I did the Wii for forty minutes. Now after this entry I plan to finish two scrapbooking pages. It has been waiting long enough!!!!!!!!!!!

This afternoon I have art and then the craft exchange. We will do origami again.
At night we are going out for supper with friends to celebrate a friend’s 75th birthday!!!!!!!!!
Just heard that they want to install our Shabbat elevator starting March 1. It will take three weeks. Some people including me are in a panic. How will we ever pack our cars if we have to carry things down four flights of stairs? Actually for us it won’t be so terrible but we have friends who are also on the fourth floor. He had a stroke years ago and would NEVER be able to go up and down especially for a few weeks. I suggested to my husband that we should just go on a cruise during that time. I will not be happy having to carry groceries up four flights of stairs. OY!!! Hubby just told me that someone is coming from the TV station to discuss the issue. I’m not sure if I’ll go as I have art!!!!!!!!! I hate to miss it.
There have been so much killing in the area. Policemen have been killed. If they aren’t safe who is?
So I better get to my scrapbook. Then I have to decide what to do this afternoon.

that’s a lot of stairs to carry groceries. i stop my dishwasher as soon as it gets to the dry cycle. i open it up and let the dishes air dry while they are still hot from the water and they dry fairly quickly. saves me money on electricity by not letting the dishwasher dry the dishes. you sure do have a busy day ahead of you. take care,

We air dry if we have time, if not we just dry them as we unload. Hey at least I do not have to stand at a sink and wash all of them, hehe. Nothing is perfect I guess. I would not be liking trying to carry stuff up flights of steps. I would be complaining. I just cannot do that anymore, I have to hang onto the railing. Love,

March is so close to spring that you might as well go home to Canada early when they work on the elevator. I mean, if it were me that’s what I would think. I can barely make two flights of stairs. Four would do me in.

Jet dry works. It is very expensive for a small bottle. But you use only a few drops each time so the bottle lasts a long time.

I thought that jet dry is more so that you don’t get spots on dishes, not fur actual drying, not sure. My dryer works in the washer.

Read this in a consumer mag. You must use ALL cycles of the washer during the year or otherwise the hoses dry up and the washer will not work properly. So even though you use the gentle cycle , switch to the heavy duty wash and then switch to normal dishwashing .at least three times each year. This will keep your washer working properly .

When police are being killed in your neighborhood, seriously that is the time to move out. You need to be in a neighborhood where police are in charge, not the killers .

I don’t have a dishwasher but from what I know of them they generally are self drying if items left in there with the hot air. hugs P

Just buy some Jet Dry. It’s not expensive and it lasts a long time.

Oh no, they should get someone that will fix the elevator more quickly so it won’t be such a bother! Dx

The Jet Dry works well and it is not that much, it gets the dishes really clean and it lasts a long time. One little bottle will last you a year maybe.

Okay, I read your first sentence and then had to look and see if I was really at Ginger Rogers site lol. Aww..just kidding. I was just visiting some strange diaries so that kind of gets to you. I’m going back to read the rest of your entry. Have apeaceful day.

Have you ever tried to do the mini scrapbook pages, like less than 4 inches by 4 inches. That works and you can finish a few scrapbooks in one day.

That’s funny! I was just telling #1 that we could dry the little pools of water left on dishes in the dishwasher so we could save money. I don’t use the dishwasher’s dry cycle as you pay for that electricity. She was not impressed. 🙂
