YESTERDAY

I had a good day yesterday. In the morning I went to my drumming lesson. OY! What noise. Maybe I should buy a pair of ear plugs like our teacher wears. I am enjoying the lessons and will probably continue next session. I have to check if I will have six weeks left after this session finished. However the courses are cheap – between fifteen and twenty each so it’s not serious if I miss a few.
Then I came home and packed up my stuff. I called my cousin and told her I was leaving. I stopped at the library to borrow some books. Don’t ask me why  as I have enough books here to fill a library. My next stop was the post office. I mailed stuff to my grandchildren. Then I stopped to get gas. Finally I picked up my cousin and we were off. We went to IHOP for lunch. I had their harvest grain nut pancakes. YUMMY!!! Then we went to TARGET. I bought some Passover glasses for my grandchildren. I asked one of the workers if they had any Passover stuff and of course they said no. WELL I looked around. I looked at the place where they had Passover stuff in the other TARGET and there were the glasses. So often the sales people in the store know nothing and could care less.
I have been thinking about Passover. This will be our last Passover in this house. I plan to invite the WHOLE Family as a last celebration. I am sure most will not come from Toronto. It will be too bad but it will be wonderful for those that do show up. I have been making the seders for many years and this will be a great reunion. I am thinking that I should also hand over the reins to the next generation(my married son) but not sure if I’m ready. It just seems like a good time as we will be in our new condo and I will be 70 next Passover. It’s so hard to believe. I don’t feel that old.
Anyhow at lunch my cousin and I were talking about or hubbies and how forgetful they are. It was nice to have someone to share my concerns with.
I LOVE LUCY IS ON. YEAH!!!!!!! I must have seen each episode a 100 times by now. I remember when I was growing up I would get upset if I had to miss a show. My mother told me not to worry that I would get a chance to see it again. SMART WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!
After Target I took my cousin home. I went to the library near her home and took out more books. I LOVE BOOKS! I always imagining I will read all of them but of course never do. Maybe I’ll make a list of the ones I took out…………
Then I drove to BEALLS and gave back my shoes. No problem at all. I tried on some shoes at 2 for 15 but by then I was tired. My feet were sweaty and sore. Not really a good time at all so didn’t buy them.
I stopped at Michaels to get a canvas for my class this afternoon. I also bought some felt to paint on. It worked out well last week. I got the canvas at 40%. While I was standing at the cash I remembered that Sunday everything is 25% off. I don’t know if I should have waited until Sunday. Maybe I’ll go back. There are so many deals and discounts in Florida I never know when to buy. Of course I am doing my best NOT to spend.
I came home to take a quick shower. Then we left for supper at my cousins. She made a delicious stew but it was a bit too spicy. Then we played dominoes. FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hubby won. He was able to go out so often. We came home around 11. This morning I have a lot of washing to do. Then in the afternoon I have my art class. Nothing at night.
I was a bit upset yesterday. I am planning an art club trip but it seems as if I can’t get anything  right. I reserved a bus for the trip. I called to confirm a few days ago and the woman told me the bus was confirmed. WELL the president of the art club called to check and she was told it wasn’t confirmed as I hadn’t given my VISA!!!!!!!!! When I called to confirm she didn’t ask for my VIsa and since I didn’t want to give mine I figured it was ok and she would bill us. I also messed up with the number of people coming. I had a 2 next to one woman. For me that meant she was coming with another woman. Turns out that woman was added separately. I don’t understand why I would put a 2 beside the name if the other person was already one the list somewhere else. As far as I know one woman paid for the other so I put 2 by her name. I will NOT do this again next year. What’s the point? I can’t do it right and thankfully the president checks everything I do.
Tomorrow is our reunion with my two cousins. It should be interesting. I plan to make a family tree while we are together. For supper we will go out or I will make supper and then maybe we’ll play Dominoes again.
So maybe I should go back to bed. It’s 6:14!!!!!! Of course I could start my washing and get a head start.
I plan to start my quilt today. The only problem is I am not sure what pattern I planned to use. I might have to call and check with my friend. I bought all the fabric on my way to Florida so hope I can get it figured out.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
