I DIDN’T WIN

I was woken up before seven by my alarm clock. There was a contest and I was hoping to win. A radio station here has a contest called THREE DEGREES WEATHER GUARANTEE. If the weather forecaster is wrong about predicting the temperature by more than three degrees someone wins whatever is in the "pot." Everyday she is right money is put into the contest fund. Today a woman won over 6000. It would have been wonderful. I could have paid off some bills.
Anyhow I am healthy and alive so I am ok that I didn’t win.
Believe it or not my hubby is leaving for Florida tomorrow morning. He is all packed and ready to go. My eldest son will be going with him. Today is my son’s last day at work. I am sure he will be upset!!!! One of my friend’s gave me the name of her niece for my son to call. She looks very cute in the picture I was shown but of course that is not very important. The problem is she’s 42 and probably way past the age to have children. My son wants children. Probably she does too. I am sorry, very sorry son but you missed the boat. You’re 40!!!!!!!!!!! Anyhow it’s a worry because now my son will be out of work. Winter is coming. He will be stuck in with NO LIFE! It is so sad as I am sure he would make a good husband and father. My hubby said he might go back to school. I hope so. Maybe for accountant.
I don’t have much to do today. I have to go back to the shopping centre to get my lamb chops. I will make them for myself and friend tomorrow night. I hope to sell my high chair. We have emailed back and forth for two days.
I will start doing the WII again today. I have been missing many days.
Still the same crap with my grandchildren. I took my grandson yesterday. We did some shopping and then came here. I made shepherd’s pie for supper. He didn’t enjoy it as it was different from his NANAS and the recipe my son’s girlfriend uses. My son and his girlfriend were once again complaining about me shopping with the children. My son’s girlfriend tries to explain to them that they are suppose to enjoy just being with me and it isn’t just about shopping. I am not sure about her children but I KNOW that my grandson wants to be with me – shopping or no shopping. The shopping has become an obsession. I am not sure what we will do when I come back. My grandson mentioned that he would come visit me in Florida without his parents. I am not pushing the issue. We will see.
Tomorrow after hubby leaves I will clean up his desk and the surrounding tables. He has so much junk that I will move. The playroom will look much bigger. I will also clean out a cupboard. Sunday we have an Open House. I don’t want to be here. Maybe I’ll go to a movie! Any suggestions???
At night my friend is coming for supper – lamb chops and fries. YUMMY FOR MY TUMMY!!!!!!!!!
I am still working on jigsaw puzzles.
I am planning to make a quilt for my bed while we’re in Florida. I have been trying to find a pattern with no luck. I guess I’ll find a pattern and buy the fabric in the quilt store in Florida. It will give me something FUN to do all winter. I must remember to pack my sewing machine. I can’t wait to get on the road!!!!!!!!!!!!
So what else can I write about. Nothing! Time to make coffee and get the day started.
