WHAT I HAVE LEARNED-edited

I thought I would write an entry about what I have learned over the past 67 years………….

that smoking causes cancer

that I can do anything I set my mind to

that I will NEVER make money

that I love books and reading

that I am not a friendly person

that I am a loner

that I love to do things alone

that I have no patience to compromise

that there are too many stupid people in the world

that the world is run by idiots

that the fanatics will take over the world

that our society is obsessed with materialism and other meaningless junk

that the US should mind their own business and not judge others by their standards

that nature can be very dangerous

that too many young people have died in useless wars

that children take a lot of energy, commitment and money to raise

that marriage is not realistic anymore

that parents put their careers before their children

that everything I want to eat is no good for me

that some people spend their time in meaningless activities

that everyone should have a hobby at home

that I prefer to stay in one place

that I do not like "dressing up"

that religion causes hatred and war

that people should be treated equal no matter what colour, religion etc.

that there is a lot of evil in the world

that we need to be grateful if we are healthy

that life is unpredictable

that life can be turned upside down in a minute

that sex can cause a lot of problems

that there are a lot of people who are very generous

that life can be wonderful

that I can be friendly when I want to

that I find small talk hard to make

that I am impatient but can also be very patient at times

that there will never be peace in the Middle East

that people in North America take a lot of things foregranted

that family and friends are very important

I guess that’s enough for now
