BACK AT THE TRAILER
So we came to the trailer about eight o’clock last night. We stopped for supper and had yummy pizza. I was exhausted so went to sleep early. Not sure if it’s because I took an Aleve yesterday morning. I wanted to be sure I could walk back and forth to the synagogue without pain.
So Thursday morning the kids came to shul with us. They didn’t last very long because to be honest it is very very boring for children as the services are from 1 million years ago. They don’t understand the language or the service. They heard the shofar so I was happy about that. I brought them with some toys to play with and some tiny smarties. My DIL would not let me give them the Smarties. She was invited to her father for lunch and wanted to make sure they would be hungry to eat there. It is so frustrating for me!!! Anyhow they left shul about 12 but hubby and I stayed till after 1. We went home and had lunch. Then a nap. Nothing too exciting the rest of the day.
Friday I thought my son wouldn’t want to come back to shul but my DIL wanted to so they did. My grandson sat with me the whole time. My grandaughter did for awhile but then her mother took her out and they never came back. I don’t know why she wanted to come. She didn’t last very long! Anyhow I just brought with some tiny bars of chocolate. She wouldn’t let me give them any. She feels they need to eat their meal better. She’s right but I think she can make some exceptions!!! Anyhow she went away and I was alone with my grandson. I finally got him to agree to a small piece of chocolate and it would be out secret. I don’t know why but when we left shul she asked me if he had anything. I told her yes. I don’t know how she knew or was just guessing. My son told her that my grandson had stuck it out with me so deserved a small piece.
They came to the house and had lunch. After they left I cleaned up and had a quick nap. My cousin who is a cookbook author stopped by for awhile. By this time I couldn’t keep my eyes opened. Maybe it was the ALEVE. She left so we packed up and drove here. I slept the whole way and don’t remember a thing.
We don’t have too much planned for the weekend but it’s ok because the week will be busy. Tomorrow night we have a party at the wreck hall. I will try to see what I can bring home Sunday as we close in two weeks. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
So I think I will go back to bed.
Hubby’s thumb is getting better slowly.
It was sad, but interesting to realize that we won’t be making the walk to shul from our house after this Yom Kippur. We might walk from the new condo. It’s probably a little shorter. Another decision we have to make.
Sunday night I am calling the real estate agent so she can come over and tell me what I should do in the house before we list it. I have already done a lot and will do more on Tuesday when the cleaning lady comes.
Monday I will call the BELL and APPLE store. I am determined to get a new phone this week.
Tuesday night I am babysitting for my grandchildren as their parents have TEACHER’S night.
Friday and Saturday is Yom Kippur. My daughter is coming on Friday sometime.
Sunday morning I will try to arrange a time for my children to see the new condo.
So back to bed.
i had no idea that aleve could make a person sleepy like that. i’m glad you got to spend some time with your grandchildren. and their mother should make allowances for treats once in a while but i do understand her wanting the children to eat better. take care,

My mother and father do all sorts of things with their grand children that ultimately I think is funny. I know it is outrageous but hey, they are allowed to spoil them. Actually a little bit of chocolate would probably help their appetites.

Grandparents are allowed to SPOIL thier grandkids…AS I DO FOR SURE..BUT yes we should MODERATE the SPOILING. I hope you have a relaxing weekend!
