THE OTHER ONE

This afternoon I picked up my other grandson. We bought some Wacky Pack cards and then just went back to his house. I spent about an hour with him and then the other two children came home. He was off so I talked to my DIL a little and then I left. I guess I have very mixed feelings. I know there comes a time when grandchildren have other interests but at the same time I guess I am hurt. On the other hand it is a big relief because I really don’t know what to do with them anymore. It was different when they were younger as they were happy with anything and everything. Next week is the holidays so I won’t be taking them. Not sure what I will do the week after. I am disappointed that my son never called to talk to me about what happened. So I am thinking that maybe I will leave for Florida earlier than I planned to. Once I think my grandchildren are fine I can leave early – maybe a week earlier. Actually if I stop taking them I can leave just about the same time as hubby which is October 30.
Anyhow I drove home. I filled the gas tank and then went to the butcher. I bought meat for the holidays. Wednesday night I have about 9 people coming. I am making a traditional supper – or almost – vegie chopped liver, chicken soup with noodles, brisket with potatoes, salad, pickled tongue, and sweet and sour meatballs. Not sure about the side dishes yet.
I had lamb chops for supper. Then I was online for awhile. I got tired so went into bed about ten. It
is just after 12 and I’m up. I’m debating if I should do the Wii to get tired. Maybe I’ll go down an organize my bookroom.
I went to the Bank today. I got a loan to cover my American Express, my overdraft and one credit card so that was great. Tomorrow I will go to the bank to pay off my American Express. Then I will drive out to the country. After this weekend we only have two weekends left.
I have two friends that I am trying to encourage to move into the same building as us. One friend is the one that is very sick and the other is the one I do scrap booking with. It would be great to live together.
So I’m off. I think I’ll go downstairs and organize my book room.
So that’s about it.

sounds like a wonderful dinner – I used to love sweet and sour meatballs… then I became a vegetarian! I almost moved into a building many years ago because the sweet/sour scent was in the air…LOL

glad you got the loan. blake is 13 and still comes over to spend time with me… we watch tv, movies, play cribbage, he goes online on my laptop, we talk. i kept thinking he’d stop coming over by this time but he still comes over. yes, when they get older they are difficult to figure out what to do with them. sometimes, it’s hard to know what to do when they come over. i was up around 3:30 this morning and another of my faves was up around 3. sounds like 3 is a magic number. take care,

He seems a laid back kid. Maybe just your pressence is enough.

a bank loan is far better interest rate than a credit card…glad you sorted that. hugs P
