AGGRAVATED, ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED

I am very frustrated, angry, disappointed and upset. This is about something fairly new – maybe not to me but to all of you. I bought some lamb chops to bring tot he trailer for supper. They took them away at the border. Apparently we are NOT allowed to bring lamb into the US. SHIT! FUCK! HELL! DAMM! I was so looking forward to having lamb and fries for supper. My poor hubby. Of course I take it out on him. Luckily he found a package of four chops in the freezer so we’ll share them and have salami and fries too. Anyhow better watch the fries. More later.

Thats crap! Its not like its a pound of Crack! Its food! I would have made them BUY it from me!

That’s very odd. I don’t see why they should confiscate food of any kind, for cryin’ out loud! You mean, they took the lamb chops you had bought and didn’t even give you a refund for your money you had just spent on them?! That should not even be legal! Like your first noter said, it’s not like lamb chops are some kinda DRUG! :oO !! hugs, Nicky

Is there some kind of problem with lamb in Canada, that means a disease could be transported across the border and affect the US lamb industry if the meat is taken in? Here we have fruit fly free areas and as we drive into them, we are required to throw out any fruit we are carrying. It’s a pest, but far better than the orchardists losing their income because of spreading fruit fly infestation.

Darn it all to hell!

I know that they can be picky about fruit but what about all those cross border shoppers? Strange!

I bet those border guards had a fine dinner tonight!!!

most countries will not allow food, especially meat products, to go across their borders, but the USA are extremely tough on such things. Sorry you had to deal with this. I avoid US border control in any travelling I do these days. hugs P

Caught up on all your entries I missed. You’re on the move! – in more ways than one, huh?Credit cards are ruining many people’s lives it seems. Also the world economy. I hope it can work out for you, but yes, you need to confront your retail-addiction – perhaps your way of addressing loneliness?

We eat lamb almost daily. It is fabulous meat. We are also not allowed to move meat over the borders, or travel anywhere with it. It also cannot come in from other countries to ours. They should have refunded you, dammit!!

RYN: thanks for your advice. Ive heard one way of transporting drugs is to liquidize it somehow and dip clothes in it. Maybe they can dip meat in it too.
