A PRETTY GOOD WEEEKEND

I won’t complain about the weekend. It was pretty good. We returned from Toronto about 3 on Friday. Hubby drives at a steady speed and we only stop when necessary. I went to the butcher to buy first cut lamb chops and a few other things. Meanwhile hubby repacked for the trailer. I came back and packed up quickly. I ended up taking much more than I should have but I am never sure what I’ll need and I was too lazy to really go through everything. My valise was heavy and hubby complained. He said he is getting older. He’s right and I will be more careful. We got to the trailer about six. Hubby barbecued the lamb chops which were delicious!!!!!!!
At night we played Canasta. I won one game and the others won one. It was fun and relaxing.
Saturday I thought we would play Mah Jong but it didn’t work out. I woke up early. I had breakfast, did the Wii and then went to talk to my friend. They didn’t know what was happening so I gave them my cell number and took off. I went shopping.
I went to Target.
I went to Borders.
I went to Best Buy.
I went to Michaels.
I went to AT &T.
I went to Panera for lunch.
I went to Sam’s Club.
I went to two Dollar stores.
I went to Bath and Body.
Of course I spent too much but felt happy. When I returned home hubby was still drinking but an old couple of friends were there so I joined in. This was the brother of my very best friend who past away a few years ago. We went out for supper and had a great visit.
Sunday was quiet. I worked on my jigsaw puzzle. I am almost finished. I think one of my friends want to glue it together and hang it up. We went into town so I could buy more food. This morning I am making a huge chicken soup and a vegie soup. I am going to bring some to friends. Her hubby is very sick and I heard that her daughter was cooking for her twice a week. I will try to do this for them. I just have to find out what they like to eat.
We had supper at the trailer and then drove home in the rain and the dark. I told hubby I would rather leave in the daylight around four. He agreed.
So I better go make my chicken soup. Maybe we will eat it for lunch or supper.
