AIR CONDITIONER AND MORE

I am hot! It is way too hot and humid here. I am NOT happy at all. I am avoiding the outdoors. Yesterday however I went to pick up my grandson. He wanted to play mini golf so I agreed but it was stupid. It was just too hot to be out under the HOT sun. I skipped the last few holes and rushed him home. His home was COOL and a pleasure. We played MONOPOLY and I watched him play the WII. It was in the basement so very cool.
I finally called someone to repair my air conditioner. I don’t care what it costs. I just hope it doesn’t have to be replaced.
My hubby always says that the air can only do so much. BULLSHIT! I’m fed up with hearing that the air can only cool down the house about ten degrees cooler than outside or some such nonsense. So I called him last night and asked him who repairs our air. We haven’t had someone in years so I called around. Someone said that would come about lunchtime tomorrow. I hope I’ll be here or my hubby. I have to pick up my grandson at 3:20. Since he’s going away next week I have to take him tomorrow. I want to buy him some goodies for the trip.
Last night I had yummy lamb chops and fries. I ate about 9.
ANYHOW better get some more sleep.
Once again I am waivering with my HERBALIFE business. I listened to a call yesterday and the woman did so WELL! I think I will speak to my mentor and see what he says.

I just read one diarist here who puts aluminum foil on her windows to keep the heat out. Apparently they use that method in New Orleans. It might be worth a try.

Men! Sometimes they don’t have one bit of sense. AC definitely can cool down a house more than ten degrees cooler than it is outdoors…. cuz on 100 degree days, if you have working AC, it is NOT 90 in your house! Probably he just doesn’t wanna pay to get it fixed, PLUS men don’t seem to feel the heat as much as we do. I’m glad you are getting it fixed anyway! hugs, Nicky

the day it was over 100 my a/c cooled the house down to 85 but couldn’t get any cooler. those 15 or so degrees really mattered. i told my husbnad when he bought this a/c that he should have gotten a larger one. but, would he listen to me…. no and now i’m the one who has to suffer. i love my central air! hope you and your grandson have fun together today. take care,

The best thing to do is to keep the sun out by keeping the blinds closed and if you have ceiling fans keep them on all the time not just when you are in the room. The a/c will take the humidity out of the air and cool off the house at least 10 degrees if not more. Those 10 degrees make a huge difference.

I sure hope you get your AC fixed or replaced. It’s just too hot to go without it. I need to get more blinds and curtains as we still don’t have all our windows dressed. It makes a big difference keeping them closed on days like this.

I hate the heat too. Since we haven’t had a day under 93 (with heat indexes up to 105) in about 6 weeks, I really want to come north. But, if it is hot there it wouldn’t do me any good:)

Men! He’s comfortable so he thinks you should be too. Why suffer with the heat?

What is it with some men and aircon! An aircon can cool a room to freezing when it is working properly and is the right size for the room. I hope yours gets fixed soon.
