AN AMAZING DAY

Today was my birthday and I had a wonderful, fantastic day. First thing I went to my stained glass class. I worked on my new piece. I have to figure out if I want to take it home or not. It’s so big and I will have to wrap it very carefully. I have bubble wrap but will have to check if I have enough. Then I came home. Just as I was getting to the elevator so was hubby. Believe it or not he had gone shopping and bought me a dozen roses!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has never done that before!!!!! It was such a wonderful shock. Then the day got even better.
I called my daughter and she drove over. We said goodbye to hubby and took off. He could have come with us for lunch but didn’t want to. So once we were in the car and heading North my daughter asked if I wanted the WII. She had searched all over and found one at the Target in Delray Beach. So off we went to buy it. I have been talking about it for months!!!!! It’s the same as last year when she helped me buy the KINDLE for my birthday. We got to Target and bought the last one they had. Luckily we got there just in time as a man walked over and tried to buy my WII! Don’t you dare touch it!!!! LOL!
After purchasing the WII we headed further North as my daughter wanted to go to the World Market store in Wellington. On the way we stopped at ROTELLI which is one of my favourite restaurants for lunch. We had yummy pizza and delightful conversation. All day she was very open and talkative. Being with her and talking was one of the highlights of the day!!!! We both realize that time is running out!!!! Only a few days left before I head North.
We went to World Market. We walked around. I ended up with some tiny notebooks. We bought a metal container for spices. It has small compartments for different ones. I think I’ll take it home with me. OY! I wonder if everything will fit in my car. Otherwise I will leave it and maybe hubby will be able to bring some home. If not it will be waiting for me next year. I am sure I won’t miss anything I leave behind.
Best BUY was next door. We went in to see if they had the WII Fit. They did so we both bought one. When we came home she set it up. The WII is an amazing game system!!!!! I wasn’t too happy when the WII fit told me I was obese but actually I already knew that. I was disappointed as I have been swimming and watching what I eat a little. I guess I still eat too much and don’t exercise enough. Unless I have muscle………
Next we went into JoAnns next door. We didn’t buy anything. Maybe I would have but she wasn’t going to so I felt guilty. besides there wasn’t anything I really needed.
Then it was time to think about going home but I had another stop to make. We went to Barnes and Noble. Of course I bought some books. My daughter too.
So I called hubby and told him I wouldn’t be home for bridge. Luckily we would have been nine so it didn’t matter.
We started to drive home. We were so excited to get home so she could set up the WII for me.
BUT THEN WHAT DID WE SPOT OUT OF THE CORNER OF OUR EYES????
Dillards and JC Penney. After much quick deliberation I turned the car around. She went into Dillards for makeup and I went into Penneys. I bought a purse and some tshirts on sale. She got some makeup.
I can’t believe that she didn’t let me spend a penny on her aside for lunch!!!! She use to take full advantage of my generosity but I think my little girl has finally grown up. She was such a wonderful companion on my birthday.
Then we really headed home. Luckily there wasn’t any traffic. We got home after nine. I defrosted some chicken soup with noodles and warmed up some appetizers. My daughter set up the WII and taught me how to use it. I hope I will remember how to use it. She will be coming back on Friday and I do have the directions.
Hubby tried it but he wasn’t that impressed. Of course it was then end of the day and he was tired.
So that was my wonderful shopping birthday. Of course the highlight was spending so many delightful hours with my daughter. I got caught up with all my news.
I mustn’t forget to write that while we were in the book store my grandchildren called and sang Happy Birthday. I spoke to my son and his girlfriend for a bit. The line kept disconnecting so I promised girlfriend I would call her back tonight. I better before I go out for supper.
Most of my friends are leaving in the next few days. If we go out tomorrow night I may have to take my van so everyone can get a ride. All the cars left yesterday or will leave tomorrow. Their cars are shipped home.
I spoke to my other son after our late supper. He still hasn’t spoken to the cleaning lady. She should be calling him this week about going to his place. I must find out if she is coming to help for Passover. I am not going to stress about it. Whatever will be will be. He also still plans to come home to drive with my hubby. He is suppose to talk to his boss tomorrow. I told him NOT to lie as his boss can easily find out because we’re friends with his parents.
So that was my glorious day. I couldn’t help wonder if I was wrong to leave my hubby for the day and skip bridge but……………………it was MY BIRTHDAY and we did invite him to join us.
Tomorrow I have an art class in the morning. In the afternoon I will start organizing and packing. The bug guy is coming tomorrow morning although I haven’t seen anything for a few days. Pray that I don’t take any home with me.
I don’t know if I should go back to bed. I have to be up in an hour. I have the time on the stove on so I will be up on time. Hubby has very good hearing if I’m in a dead sleep.
So that was my fantastic day with my daughter. She gave me such a heart wrenching wonderful birthday card!!!!!!!! I am so proud of my daughter!!!!
