A WONDERFUL DAY

Hubby and I spent a wonderful day with very old friends. They live in Ottawa so we don’t see them too often. I think my hubby knows the man since high school and I know the woman since university. We fixed them up and imagine that they still talk to us. We went to visit. We had lunch with them and then drove over to CITY PLACE in West Palm Beach. My friend and I went shopping in Bath and Body. I bought way too much as usual but will give some to my daughter tomorrow  for her birthday. It rained all day but did not rain on our parade. We all get along so well. The man did have a cold so was blowing and sneezing all over. I was not happy but what could I do? We went for supper to Cheechee Burger(sp). I had a hamburger which was delicious. We came home around eight thirty.
In the morning I went to a new art class. I did a wonderful painting. Not sure if it is finished or not. I will take it back to the class next week and ask the teacher what he thinks. It is something completely different from what I usually do. It has a very muliti coloured background and a figure standing on top. Can you picture it? Anyhow I painted another background and I just had the idea to try to draw a few figures on this one. Maybe some children………
We came home. I started to watch the Olympics but didn’t get far. I fell asleep and now I’m up for whatever reason.
Tomorrow morning I will go swimming and maybe after that if it is early enough I might try to finish my stained glass and start another project. I am very disappointed with they way it turned out but maybe, just maybe the teacher saved it.
I can’t believe I will be leaving for home in just a little over two weeks. There is a lot I still want to do here! Next weekend we are going out for supper with two of my high school friends. One has lived in Florida for many years. We were friends in high school until she told me it was time for other friends!!! I wonder what it will be like to get back together. The men will also be there. I wouldn’t mind a new friend. Of course I am going home but if we click we can always get together when we come back next winter.So I guess I will read some of your entries and then try to get some more sleep. It’s only 1.
