STAINED GLASS AMD THE REST – OK

This morning I attended my second stained glass class. I was surprised how easy it is. I almost finished a stained glass froggie. First we had to choose glass. I was not that impressed with the colors I chose but it’s the first project. Then we cut out the pieces for our froggie or butterfly. We glued the pieces of paper on the glass and then cut out the pieces. It was a little tricky but there were many ways to do it. I understand what has to be done. Next we went to the machine to smooth out the rough edges. I think I could have done a better job. The teacher helped with a few pieces. Last but not least the teacher gave us copper foil and we put it all around the edges. Next week we will finish. So all in all it was fun and easy. There was a woman working on a large picture. She has just been doing stained glass since June. I can’t wait to buy some glass and patterns on my own.
Then I went to pick up my grandaughter. She is going to be four –  so adorable and talks a mile a minute. We went swimming. We had such a good time. We went to Walmart where she wanted everything!!!! Then we came here. She played with her new stuff. My son came over and kept her company which made it easy for me. We all had supper together and then I took her home. We sat there awhile and then came home. I’m tired but happy. I always am after I spend time with a grandchild.

My late husband use to do stained glass and my son does it now. I wish I had learned from them.

I have a friend who makes jewelry out of glass. She invited me into her studio and let me play with making a few pieces. I just LOVE the beautiful colors of glass. She had so many, many different types, colors and sizes of glass to play with 🙂
