THE WEDDING AND MORE – OK

So last night we went to the wedding. I am never anxious to go to a wedding as I don’t like getting dressed up etc. Anyhow the wedding was wonderful! The bride was so pretty. I have known her since she was 2! The ceremony was outside and the weather was perfect. There were a few people whom I haven’t seen for ages. We had a chance to get caught up. Our children are grown and are married and/or have moved away. Some are in Toronto, Jerusalem, Ottawa etc. The food was delicious and the music loud and lively. We stayed until about ten. Hubby wanted to leave as we have a house guest and my cold is no better so I didn’t mind.
Our niece’s daughter is staying with us for awhile. She is attending McGill university. She has a dorm room but doesn’t like it so will stay here until she finds another private room. She is suppose to be sharing a room but complains that it is small and she is used to having her own room. At first I didn’t really appreciate having a guest but now I don’t mind at all. She is quite independent. Right now I am waiting to take her to school as she doesn’t know how to use our transport system yet. Hubby was going to take her but I said I would. I’m up and dresed but will shower and do my exercise maybe when I get back. My throat is still sore!!!! Now hubby says he may have caught my cold. I think I should sleep in another room when one of use is sick!
I will not be taking my grandson this week. He is with his mother and I think she is annoyed or upset with us so decided not to let me take him. She wrote that they are going to her lover’s parents for supper on Thursday. On Wednesday she asked her mother to babysit because she has a meeting at her son’s school. She knew I was taking him Wednesday. She is upset because my son has taken another job and won’t be working with her anymore. He had to take this other job because he wasn’t getting anywhere at the senior home. I knew we had to be very careful with her but we can’t all the time. The senior home is close to bankrupcy and she isn’t doing any good for the home. She takes too much time off etc. So I will resign myself to just seeing my grandson on my son’s time. Of course the next time she has him it may work out. Up until now she has always let me take him.
My friend isn’t coming over to do crafts today as I have a cold. I will just relax. Tonight I am babysitting for my son so will go over right after supper. I was going to go earlier but she wrote that she wants to spend some time with her children as they were with the Father on the weekend. Since I don’t want to have supper with them I’ll just go over after.
I am still putting compresses on my belly button. Hubby thinks its an infection. If it doesn’t go completely away by next Monday I’ll go back to the doctor. I just can’t worry about it anymore. One day at a time…………….
