ANOTHER GOOD DAY

Things have been good.  Tuesday morning my friend came over and we did some scrapbooking. I did two pages of my brother – nothing fancy. I am trying to do all the OLD family pictures. Next I will write some stories about him and include them somewhere on the pages. I feel the important thing is the stories BEHIND the pictures. I will scrapbook pictures of me growing up. Again I was just going to arrange them on two pages but realize I should write about the pictures so will do them a few at a time. Then I went out to buy some new art supplies. That is always fun. At night we went to play bridge. I was a little upset as our friends came with a cold and feeling lousy. Don’t they realize we are all old and don’t want to get sick??? Anyhow we went for supper with them and then played bridge. All in all it was a pleasant evening. One of our friends is going to Israel. Another is having knee surgery. Another needs something removed from her head. Old age is wonderful – NOT! Two are having cataracts……………

TODAY I HAD A GOOD DAY. I went to an art class with an art teacher that I’ve known for quite awhile. She’s written a book which I wanted to buy but didn’t have enough money so will buy it next week. Then I came home to have lunch, change from my art clothes and make meatballs for supper. Then I went to pick up my grandson. Of course we had to go to the toy store. I  had decided not to buy him toys everytime we meet but have decided the heck with it. There is not much that we can do after school so we will shop. I will just limit what we spend. We came home and while he played with his new toys I made supper. I was surprised that my two sons showed up. YEAH!!! My son told me that he is busy with his taxes and that’s why he wanted to rush home. In the end he spoke to his accountant and he decided to stay later. So all was ok. I just get too emotional.

I did some painting last night but wasn’t happy with the results. I’ll have to check tomorrow when it will be dry. Time for more sleep.

I am rereading my entries and deleting those I never want my family to read. Also correcting grammar and putting them into chapters. When I download my diary I download them by chapters. It will be easier to print out.

NIGHT!

ryn: It seems MANY things are screwy in life… I mean, WHY does a woman hit her “sexual peak” at 40, when a man hits his at 18? Where is the SENSE in that? But I think having children is for the young because it does take an awful lot of energy to do it… I know my children keep me young, even though I am approaching 40 myself. No one really THINKS that I’m that old (esp online where they can’t see the greys) because I never talk or act that old. Though I sometimes wonder whatever made me think I could have children at this age and survive it, lol. However, I also think I appreciate my children more… the field trip yesterday, Shabree was just hanging on me ALL day, SO demanding. I put up with it because I know probably as soon as next year, she’s not going to be that clingy, she won’t want much to do with me. I won’t get any kisses in public because “Mom…someone might SEE.” But yesterday, I got a kiss when we got off the bus and I headed for home. They are precious to me. I guess there will be time later for me to have more “alone time.” No other parent there spent as much time WITH their kid as I did. Of course, Shabree made a POINT to stick with me…

RYN: Just wanted to say thanks for stopping by and leaving a note.It makes you wonder if they were on drugs or alcohol or just mentally unstable to do something like that.
