AM I BEING OVERSENSITIVE? – ok
MAYBE BUT I DON’T CARE. I USUALLY PICK UP MY GRANDSON FOR SOME BUBBY TIME EVERY THURSDAY. THIS WEEK MY SON WANTS ME TO CHANGE IT TO WEDNESDAY SO I SAID OK. HE SAID HE WOULD PICK HIM UP HERE AFTER WORK. I SAID OK. THEN HE JUST SENT ME AN EMAIL THAT HE HAS TO LEAVE ABOUT 6:30. I WROTE HIM BACK THAT I CAN JUST TAKE MY GRANDSON TO HIS HOUSE AFTER SCHOOL AND WAIT FOR HIM THERE. IN A WAY I DON’T FEEL LIKE TAKING MY GRANDSON ANYMORE. I FEEL THERE ARE TOO MANY RESTRICTIONS. I DON’T KNOW WHY HE HAS TO RUSH BACK. I WISH HE WOULD HAVE TOLD ME IN THE EMAIL. BETTER HURRY. MORE LATER.
I dont think your son means anything by his actions.. he is just being insensitive to you.. younger people have more of a sense of urgency about everything.. like to have everything organised and in neat timeslots.. life doesnt move as slowly as it used to it seems .. Enjoy the time you get with your Grandson while you can..

I’m sure there is a good explaination. If you didn’t take your grandson it would be him your were punishing for your son’s lack of sensitivity..not good.

I totally get the frustration when kids assume you are free to change things up at the last minute, at thier convenience. ryn: I go to Sky Dancer Casino…it is great..friendly…clean…and loose machines.

I think our kids get caught up in there everyday lives and forget that we would like a little consideration. Have fun with your grandson.

Those kinds of things happen to me with my DIL and son about Lilly too. I think it’s just their generation, but that doesn’t make it ok.

Your son should be thankful and appreciative of the fact that you are so loving and want to spend time with your grandson. But instead he seems to take you for granted and he wants to make all the rules, just as if he was boss of both his son AND you! Probably you should pick a good time to say tell him how you feel, in as nice a way as possible. hugs, Weesprite
