ONE CAN’T UNDERSTAND

I feel it is hopeless. Palestinians and their supporters and Israelis and their supporters will NEVER accept or understand each other’s point of view.

The "world" does not accept or understand what it is like to live with rockets falling all around. How can you live when you are always afraid that a rocket will hit you? Children and old people have a difficult time reaching shelters in time.

The same is happening in Gaza. Innocent children are being terrified and killed.

How can this be solved? Maybe it is too simple to say that everything would change if Hamas was not sending rockets into Israel. I don’t know.

I don’t know what Hamas hopes to accomplish by shooting off rockets? Do you know? Do they think Israel will give up and leave?

Palestinians? Why do they have to suffere? Why don’t some of the Arab countries offer to take in their "brothers?" Why do the Palestinians have to stay and suffer in Gaza? Why don’t they leave and move to a place where they can enjoy life?

So the Israelis came to "Israel" after the war and took away land from the Arabs. The UN voted on giving the Jewish people a tiny piece of land. Was that so terrible? Why should that create so much war and hatred? Let’s say the Israelis left the area. Would the life of the Palestinians improve?

I have been to Israel many times. It is amaing to see what Israelis have done with a dessert. On the other hand the Arabs/Palestinians have done nothing!

Isthis the beginning of another WW?

CNN seems to be giving good coverage of both sides.

We are in Fort Meyers, Florida for a few days. Time for a nap. Take care.

There is such a deep seated hatred there, I don’t know if they can every solve this issue. Obviously the Israelis are not going to leave Israel but why can’t an agreement be reached? I hope Obama can reach out to both groups and get some kind of treaty signed.

I don’t understand it for sure but I wish it would stop.

I wish they’d all learn how to just settle for what ever they have, whether it’s small or not, and be happy, so all the women, children, and old people can LIVE. Everyone over there who fights, insists they have a reason for it, and of course everyone’s reason is a lot better than everyone else’s. When really, NO ONE’s reason is good enough. hugs, Weesprite

yes, they truly need to ‘get over it’ don’t they? Trouble is, in many places people are so hung up on the past that they are letting the future slip away too. hugs…P

Those are all very good questions and, although I lean towards being pro-Isreal, I think I would be just as upset as the Palastinians if somebody had taken my family home here, in Glenview, to give to somebody. Maybe I would fight too. I don’t know.
