FUNERAL

So yesterday I went to my friend’s hubby’s funeral. She seemed fine but exhausted. I admire her as she kept her hubby home until the last few weeks when he had pneumonia. I don’t think I could do it.
This man was 79. She was much younger – probably 61. He was an Indian and they were living on the reservation. I don’t think she will be able to stay as she is white. She has a son who lives in the States. He is so handsome. It’s hard to believe it’s the same little baby she nursed so many years ago. She works in the city so will probably move into town. The funeral was in a Catholic church – so different from a synagogue. There were so many many candles and statues. There was a choir. The priest was hard to understand and read from the Bible. He was not a good speaker at all. My friend’s son played his violin. I think he went to OBERLIN university. He played a song that his grandmother use to sing to her son/his father!!!!! There was no written music. He listened to the tape over and over and then played it. The service was quite long. Then we went to the cemetery. After that we went to a restaurant for a meal. Two of us decided NOT to stay as it was a small room and HOT. By now it was five thrity so we just left.
We went out for supper last night. I am getting so spoiled. It is so much easier to go out. My hubby enjoys it. We went to a Chinese restaurant. The other three had lobster. I had General Tao chicken. It is good to get out as it changes your mind.
So now it’s time for breakfast. Hubby called the company yesterday. They will install a new water tank this afternoon. I called for the newspaper.
This morning I’m off for my egg class.
My friend who usually calls me at least twice a day has been visiting her daughter this week and hasn’t called. I hope everything is ok. It is strange as she is always calling and uses her cell phone all the time. She should be home tomorrow.
So friends, have a super duper fabulous day. Back later aligator.

Hurray for the new water tank! Life is short enough, let yourself be spoiled while you can still enjoy it.

I love going out to eat! We, of course don’t go often as with four kids it can be an exhausting experience! Have a good day.

I’m glad you’re getting a new water tank today! And I love eating out too…. but we’ll be doing less of it now that Joe is supposed to be on a diet. hugs, Weesprite

I have been eating out too much, it gets expensive but it is hard for me to find time to cook plus I hate cleaning up as well 😛

Perhaps you friend will be adopted into the tribe.

It’s the 6-month mark after someone dies that is the hardest. When you suddenly realize, it’s real. Yea for hot water!!!
