A PROMISE-read

I promise to watch how I spend money.
I promise to save money for trips and important things.
I will not spend on nonsense. I have enough junk and enough stuff.
I can and will do it.
I am old enough.
I am TIRED of running out of money a few weeks before the end of the month. It will NOT happen anymore.
I will show my hubby I can and will do it.
It is important that I learn to manage my money.
I cannot plead that I just can’t and don’t know how. It’s nonsense. I can and will do it.
Now you all know my promise.
I will open a separate account for savings and will deposit a lump sum at the beginning of the month. It is the beginning of the month so I will try to go to the bank tomorrow or Monday.
I WILL DO IT! WATCH ME!

I ENCOURAGE you to become a saver. It’s wonderful to spend money. I enjoy shopping for certain things. But also in your habits should be shopping for investments. Learn to enjoy the excitement of watching your financial worth increase. Much luck to you!

Good for you! I opened an account not long ago, he can’t save any money for anything so I have to do it. I can hang on to it and he can’t.

You’ll get a lot of satisfaction from doing this! Go Ginger Rogers!

Good for you! Hope you stick to this. It seems no matter how much or how little we have, it really comes down to money management and priorrity spending. You can do it! hugs P

RYN: I read Eragon last month and really enjoyed it, then watched the rented movie. I’ll be reading Eldest, the next book in that trilogy, next week.

I have $50 taken out of our second checking account at the end of every month. The second account is ONLY for our mortgage. There’s a couple hundred left over every month, but I don’t touch it. Basically, I try not to even think of its existence. Hard to do in the beginning but eventually, it just disappears in your mind and you quit thinking about it. Meanwhile, the money is there for any emergency.
