DAY TWO OF HELL-ok

I guess it could be worse than this but for me it is just another rotten day on the road. The problem is that there is bumper to bumper traffic here in Georgia and I was getting nowhere. I stopped for lunch, got back on the road and I was again stuck in traffic.  I had enough!!! So here I am in a very nice motel. It is only 3:00! I am going to take a nap and then go out for supper. I don’t know when I’ll get home at this rate. It’s crazy. It’s never been this bad.
Tomorrow my hubby is predicting bad weather so he might take three days.
This just might be the last time I drive to Florida.

oh dear! Not many things are more aggravating than being stuck in bumper to bumper traffic! I don’t blame you for checking into a motel early! hugs, Weesprite

Just be thank-ful that there isn’t 5 feet of snow….it could be a lot worse….You will get home soon enough…

Driving from Florida to Canada sounds like hell to me! I hate driving for long periods of time. Just relax and enjoy your hotel.

That’s pretty bad. I get annoyed even up here in the North, I couldn’t imagine being around that many people, driving. What a pain!

we try to avoid any work or shopping traffic which isn’t always easy to do as you found out, this could be a blessing in disguise the northeast is due for a bad storm today and I think tonight snow…..so this delay could just maybe keep you out of the worst of it….drive careful and stay safe….huggs

I drove through there last Friday and it took us forever to get through Atlanta. There were no wrecks……..just very slow traffic. I thought maybe the Easter week-end was the reason, but I guess not. I hope you get some rest and have an enjoyable day tomorrow. Watch out for the Spring Breakers on their way home.

Take your time, be safe and stop at all the outlet malls!!

ryn: yes, indeed. And many airlines just won’t let you on the plane if you’re crossing ANY border, if you don’t have a passport.

bumper to bumper traffic is certainly no fun. Maybe you could remind all the other drivers there is an oil shortage looming. hugs P

The weather everywhere has been so crazy this week, I hope you don’t run into anything bad on the way home. Have a safe trip and take your time going back, better to get there later than not at all!

I feel for you driving through all that traffice and the price of gas doesn’t seem to slow anyone down. We all have places we have to go to and things to get in town no matter what the cost of gas. We try to not make many trips than is necessary and we sure don’t get out and ride anymore just for the sake of driving and enjoying the scenery as it cost too much money. The price of gas here is so badwe are all wanting to revolt and wish the arab nations who control all the all could just be wiped off the face of the earth as they have really made life hard on us jumping up oil prices over every little thing. I am afraid if we just leave Iraq it will only get worse.I don’t drive a gas hog. My truck gets good mileage but when your old and living on social security and it cost 50.00 to fill your gas tank it really makes it hard on the elderly. There are no buses or trains we can take here and there are no car pools we can join so we stay home and stay mad and bored because we cannot get out.The price of gas is ridiculous. They are sticking it to us because they can not because there is a gas shortage.
