We had no power!!!!!!!!!! It rained and rained yesterday! There was freezing rain! It was windy! I was out all day. I went for a pedicure. Then I went shopping to Walmart etc. I went to get my hair done.  I might stop it as I don’t want to worry about my hair if it rains etc. When I arrived home at five the POWER went off. YUK!!! We take so much foregranted……. Anyhow we went out for supper. When we got home the power was still off and it was sixty in the house so we crawled into bed and stayed there except I couldn’t sleep so got up and sat reading by candlelight.
This morning it was freezing so we went to the MALL for breakfast.
When we got home we started the fireplace and sure enough the power came on. We take so much foregranted. I was so excited when the power came back.
I’ve decided to try to sell some toys through the EBAY store here. I am going to send them an email to see if they think it is a good idea. I might as well try to make some money. I have a lot of toys from my children that I have been keeping for my grandchildren but I think it’s time to get rid of most of it. I will keep the LEGO for now.
I spoke to my daughter this morning. She is busy with exams. When I called she was just getting  ready to leave for the library. She finishes her last exam on the fifteenth and then she will be coming here on the sixteenth. I can’t wait.
I have once again been missing my friend. I guess it will always hurt when I think of her.
I haven’t been able to do much on my new laptop yet but will try today.

My god…I would die without power! I think we lost it for an hour once and it was the most boring hour of my life!

Most of us don’t realize how easy we have it. Glad you have power back on.

RYN: Actually, I live in British Columbia not Quebec and I just thought Dion was the best candidate for Liberal Leader. Can’t believe my guy won…that never happens. I hope he enjoys himself while leading the party.

At least we still have own homes. I loathe hearing about all those hurricane vistims who have nothing. Stay warm.

Yes we do all take so much for granted, including power. A warm bed is always a good alternative in such conditions….pity you don’t have a wood burner to keep warm by. Its natural to miss your friend, especially at holiday times…..but be gentle with yourself. She wouldn’t want you to feel miserable. hugs P

Glad you have you power back, we lost ours for about a second!

ryn: I turned down the online massage website deal as I decided I didn’t want to go to people’s homes, too much trouble and possibly dangerous!

That is what happen’s to us when the weather gets really bad. We are way out in the country and everything even our water is on power. Hope it gets better soon! Take care!

It sounds sort of sad that you will be getting rid of those toys….! I’m glad I have gotten rid of the things I did for the most part, but sort of wish I’d have kept the jigsaw puzzles! It must be really hard to be missing your friend — the power outage sounds like no fun either!
