I KNOW WHAT I NEED-OK
My psychologist asked me what I need. Well I finally figured out something that would help I think. I would like my hubby to be more supportive. He knows how much I struggle with money. I wish he could say something like, "I know how hard this is for you. I will try to help." I don’t think he will ever say this but it would be wonderful. I guess I need his support. I get all or most of my physical needs met but a home, car etc. BUT I need him there emotionally. I would like him to agree on some of the things I want/need in life. Even if he would say I wish we could do whatever it would help I think. Otherwise we are constantly butting heads. He never once said I am sorry going to Florida upsets you so much. He never suggests a compromise on so many things. If I don’t give in then so be it.
My daughter is leaving Friday for six weeks in Europe. Lucky her!!! She wants me to meet her for the last two weeks but I don’t think my hubby would agree. She’s also not going to anyplace I am really interested in.
So time for lunch and then I am taking the seniors shopping. Tonight dominoes.
Alas, this seems to be so true of most marriages. Men don’t think the same way women do. Oh sure, we also don’t think the same way they do…. but then….do they really “think”….???? I guess it’s mean to say that, but their thinking is so different from ours, it can be hard to tell at times. hugs, Weesprite

Ask the psychologist if he can suggest any way to get your mate to listen, or to compromise. So often we can figure out the answer, but the solution is hard to achieve.
