HELP!!!-read

For years my friend and I have been looking for something that would make our paper tole pictures shine and have a HARD clear finish. Does anyone know how I would do this? There is someone who does this. They frame their pictures at the same place that I go to but will not tell what they use. Last night I bought some clear acryllic. It dries shiny but is is not a hard finish. My hubby suggested adding some epoxy whatever that is. If anyone has any suggestions I would be forever grateful.

I saw something on the tv program “Painted House”. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the product. It may have been a boat finish. You know – for the hulls of sailboats. She poured it on thickly instead of with a brush and then she spread it over the surface. It was clear and thick and she said it takes days to dry. Try a place that has supplies for boat owners.

I used to use something called decopage. Not sure if that’s how it’s spelled but I used it over pictures on wood and stuff and it dried a shiny clear. I used several coats in between dryings. Try a craft store. 🙂
