MOTHER’S DAY AND MORE-read

Mother’s Day was great except for the weather. It was cold and windy. The kids came up for the day with friends. We took my grandson to the park but everyone was just too cold so we didn’t stay long. The men made us a delicious brunch and then  we went shopping. I only bought some soap at Bath and Body. I wanted to buy Suzanne Sommer’s new book but didn’t. Here in Canada it is thirty five dollars and in the good old USA it is only 25. Ten dollars difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My eldest son gave me a gift certificate from the local book store. My other son gave me a certificate from the scrapbook store and last but not least my daughter bought me an IPOD shuffle which I love. I think I’ll go shopping today.
Last night my son drove home with me so we had about an hour to talk. I talked to him about his social life. He doesn’t have one. I am not sure why – too inhibited, too shy, too lazy, doesn’t know what to do etc. I told him life is passing him by and he better go back to the psychologist. I think he is living in a dream world.
Hubby and I went out for supper alone.
This morning I spoke to my very favorite cousin. We talked about everything. I will see her next week in Toronto. I am going to a bridal shower for my niece. I have to bake two cakes so will do it tomorrow.
My friend’s cousin died Saturday night. She is so upset. I will try to go to the funeral  on Tuesday although I have alot going on.
Today I am going for an accordion lesson with a new teacher. Just hope he will be good. Then food shopping and have to drop off some stuff at my son’s home.
Better go on the treadmill or to the pool. I am not sure what I’ll do but better get off the computer and decide.

good to hear how much your family love you. AS for your son that has no social life…maybe he needs first to work on himself, find out his particular interests etc…then make the effort to associate with similar people. But its got to be his choice. Some people enjoy a quiet life. hugs

I like that the men fixed brunch! And it’s great that you had time for a nice long private chat with your son. ryn: I can understand why you have been put-off by the religion; I can’t understand why so many women stick with it, when there is so much in it that’s against women. That’s why I’m glad I discovered the oldest religion in the world, which is goddess-centered. hugs, Weesprite

I`m glad that you had a good day.
