THE FIRST ONE IS OVER-read

So the first seder is over!!! I had 18 people – six were children under eight so it was a bit chaotic but we did the service until the end. My grandson was the loudest since he kept calling out for me. Tomorrow night he will sit beside me. I don’t know if it will help but it can’t be worse.
There was way too much food as usual. Of course the kids eat nothing. Tomorrow there will be twenty three adults so more food will probably go.
It was exciting to see all the children and their parents talking and playing together in the playroom. I remember when the parents were small. Memories!
I had a cleaning lady to do the dishes so you can’t tell their was a seder here. She’ll be back tomorrow night thank goodness.
So all in all it was a very successful evening.

Sounds wonderful!

How wonderful! That was a lot of children… but they’ll be the ones that remember this, so you have put them on the road to good memories and tradition! Yes, tomorrow will go even smoother :)!

hello Ginger, want to thank you for the comments you have made on my few beginning entries… yes, I do make gravy to go with roasts almost always, especially with beef… and I want to try a beef roast overnight at 200 degrees.. never heard of this before and it sounds right for the well-doneness I want…I’ve never been to a seder, but because I love everything about food, I know I would like to

when I was in the Unitarian congegation for a few years that was something, (the seder), I regret hot having tried. I am a nontheist, used to say atheist, and I’ve pushed any religion away and still do at this time of my life, my dotage, but I like the tone of your entry and comments and will go back and read more of yours, Ginger, nice to meet you in this open diary way….
