MY TODAY APPOINTMENT-read
I went to the psychologist this morning. She is really great. I will be going every other week on Tuesday mornings. I would like to go every week but for now she doesn’t have the time available.
She doesn’t just sit there and listen. She takes notes and she is very interactive.
So far she thinks I am mourning my brother and mother. I guess she could be right but alot of my symptoms are from before too.
Anyhow I am going to keep track of my sleeping patterns since she thinks I should be eating well, sleeping enough and exercising. I like her approach.
I will not start taking the PAXIL now. I am disappointed that my doctor gave me a prescription. I would like to find a doctor who would not prescribe medication at every opportunity. She did tell me to go to the psychologist too………………..
I am soon going for a pedicure. I don’t enjoy her working on my feet but it’s got to be done.
For supper I am making chicken livers. My daughter isn’t coming home so it is a perfect chance since she doesn’t like them.
Mmmmm….chicken livers! I should get them sometime. The kids don’t like them, so I forget about buying them. I agree with you about meds being prescribed too quickly at times. Usually there are other ways to get better. Your doctor sounds like a good one! ryn: yea, I’ve just about given up on the idea of in-person friends. We might be better off without ’em! hugs, Weesprite

ryn: oh, I had just gotten a note from another OD pal who wanted the postcards! If I find anymore, or anything similar, though, I’ll send you a note about ’em before I “advertise.” Here’s wishing you a good rest-of-the-day! Weesprite

It is good to have someone who will listen and give advice, but who isn’t around you all the time. That way you have her objective, unemotional ear to hear when you need help.

ryn: I DO have a wonderful husband, thanks, Ginger! I had a wonderful therapist who did wonders for me, with no medication. I’d not get the Paxil either…try the therapy first.
