A TRIBUTE TO MY MOTHER – ok
My mother was an amazing woman.
She was very strong and opinionated.
She did a lot of charitable work. She volunteered at hospitals.
She was one of the founding members of two synagogues. She worked long and hard at the two of them.
She was WOMAN OF THE YEAR at one.
She helped my father in his magic/souvenir store.
She had a difficult life in Europe before coming to Canada.
She married young and brought up three children.
She had at least one major operation but never complained.
She could do anything and usually did.
She loved her grandchildren and always had time for them.
She had many groups of friends who remained friends for over fifty years in some cases.
She made Friday night supper for anywhere from ten to thirty people. Everyone was welcome at her house.
She knit and crocheted clothes for everyone. My sister wore one of the hats she crocheted to the funeral. She made afghans for everyone.
She learned how to drive a car later in life and we shared one. She would drive me back and forth to university. It was a pink Ford.
She was an excellent cook and baker. Preparing meals for twenty thirty was NO BIG DEAL for her.
She helped anyone who needed it both financially and otherwise.
When she went on vacation she always took some grandchildren.
She shared her love for being Jewish with her family and until today they continue her traditions.
ABOVE ALL SHE WAS LOVED AND LOVED HER FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. SAY HI TO DAD
