MY GRANDSON – ok

OF COURSE I AM PREJUDICED BUT MY GRANDSON IS JUST GORGEOUS, CUTE AND BRILLIANT!!!!

We spent the afternoon together. First we went to a restaurant for lunch. We have been going there every week. He is not as interested in food as he use to. But we still ate and had a good time – chicken, fries, salad and fruit.

Then we went to TOYS R US because I wanted to check for the BRIO toy train. Apparently they stopped selling it because it was just too expensive. I am not sure if I will buy him another kind or try to get the BRIO. Maybe I can order it online….

Then it was back in the car and into town. I was going to take him to the mountains which is in the middle of town but I thought it was too far so we just went to a park near my house. He had alot of fun. The main problem was there is a lake very closeby and no gate so all us MOMMIES and GRANNIES had to watch them very carefully. I may call the city and suggest gates.

Finally it was off to the mall. We went for a drive on a train and then he drove on the merry-go-round. Then it was back home. We met his PAPA here for supper, a bath and then he went home – a very tired but happy little boy.

I am very tired too but had a great day. He is so good and patient. He sits quiet and never complains. It was such a pleasure to spend the day with him.

Tomorrow and Saturday is YOM KIPPUR -our days for fasting. The kids are coming for supper tomorrow night. I cooked on Wednesday so everything is just about ready

When I get up in the morning I will go out for last minute stuff and then stay home, set the table(all plastic), warm everything up etc. We will eat around five because by six thirty we have to start fasting.

I find it quite easy. Not sure when we will go to the synagogue. Probably sometime on Saturday. I was going to take my daughter-in-law’s mother tomorrow night but she doesn’t understand English let alone Hebrew so changed my mind. I will stay home and relax with my children.

I am interested to understand more about the Jewish Fasting time…..how long for and is it sunrise – sunset or what? Glad you had such a wonderful day with the little guy, a truly precious time…they grow so quickly. hugs

Ohhh, it sounds like such a precious good time. They grow out of this stage SO FAST — I know I know, they used to say this to me all the time and you get so tired of hearing it, but soon you will be saying it too. I’m going to look on line for BRIO — I’m curious what it is. I’m thinking I got my kids something like this, but I’ll have to see.

He sounds adorable!

My grandchildren are teenagers and I am wondering how that happened so quickly. Enjoy every minute with them that you can as they get busy as they get older.

That sounds so wonderful with your grandson. How old is he? (if you don’t mind my asking) It’s funny I am so much more relaxed with my second two kids then the first one. My first son was hyper active and adhd, so it was good I was so young when I had him. He is going to be twenty in April. Time flys. My MIL enjoys taking my kids places and doing things with them. The younger two are like t

twins they don’t like to be apart from the other. I am loved hearing about your holiday plans. We are Christian, but I tell my kids that it all started from Judisum (sorry if I spelled that wrong.) I think it’s wonderful that you all get together as a family. I think so many familys are missing that. We all go to church together. Not all my husbands brothers and sisters but some of them go to

our church. I think it’s important for kids to be raised with religion no matter what faith. I think we need to teach our kids to be respectful of every faith and one isn’t more important then the other. Your a great Grandmother. It’s wonderful to read how you enjoy your grandson. Blessings and good things to you and your.

ryn: Jim is mr stoic. Sometimes he doesn’t show a lot of emotion but I know by his eyes how pleased he is. He is hard to buy for but I try to think really hard what to do for him. He is emotional if he is mad but the others he stuffs. He can be really loving with the younger two kids but it’s harder for him with Peec. His dad stopped hugging them when they hit a certain age. Now I always hug

his mom and his dad good bye.. They are used to me after fifteen years of kicking around. We live down the street from them, but I am used to living close to family as my mom lived down the street from her sister and for years I lived next door to my mom. My Aunt and Uncle are in walking distance too. It’s nice. I hope you have a wonderful day!
