ONLY TWO MINUTES-read

GRATITUDES

CHILDREN ARE OK.

I AM FEELING HEALTHY.

I AM DOING OK ON MY QUILTING FINALLY.

In a few minutes I have to leave for a bone density test. It’s downtown so want to leave enough time to get there and get a parking place.

The weekend was ok but rainy. Crossing the border was a challenge. It took me an hour each way. Usually on the way back I take a smaller border where there is no waiting but every summer I have to try the bigger one. So I waited an hour – moving up slowly, reading, eating and napping but how can you relax when you have to move up every other minute?

Hubby and I talked a lot about money. I now have all the figures I need. I am going to make an appointment with a financial planner. I think he will go with me. I tried to impress on him the fact that he can’t keep saying spend less. I need to know exactly what we have for a year etc. I think I finally got through to him. He keeps asking me how long should we plan for??? How do I know? 75? 80?

Finally I am doing better with my quilting. I’m working on my third block. I am at least two behind but each one takes soooooooo long.

Anyhow better get moving. I think I will come right back after my test. Then later today I will go visit my mother.

Are you still in Florida? Doesn’t sound like it. I’m sure it has gotten toasty down there. I need to get back to work on my quilt, but it has me stumped. Haven’t really had the time either. *sigh*

Wow! You got him to agree to a Financial Planner? That’s GREAT! Now you will have a good sense of the money reality….and that’s important! Good luck with teh bone density… And I can’t wait to see your quilt… You will show it to us, won’t you?

My hubby and I are always struggling with money issues. I need to be more careful, I wish I could have more discipline and self-control in that area. I will have to pray about it…I know that will help. **hugs** have a good day.

Good for you!!I’m so impressed! You will never be sorry for getting your finances in order. Have you ever listened to Dave Ramsey on the radio? He’s a financial planner & we have gone to his seminar & have done what he suggests. We are free of credit card debt, only owe on our house which we hope to have paid for earlier that the note allows. We have an emergency fund & savings. I still get my…

You do need a good financial plan laid out to see so you know where you stand. I am fortunate that Hubby is good at that and handles money well. I am pretty careful with money too which has paid off over the years as now we can build a nice home for our retirement. I wish you well and also with the bone density test. I am due for another one.

That is so great that you finally got your husband to talk to you about your finances. Do you feel better about it now?

Well done for getting the info you needed!

nice to hear about the finances.

It takes a lot of trust to be completely honest with each other about financial matters, but I think your husband owes you this — and you owe yourself. Don’t give up on this – it is the most important thing you will ever do! I can’t BELIEVE how many of my friends do not understand their own finances!
