TOSSING AND TURNING-read

I did not sleep well last night. That is why I am up at 6. Is this what it means to get old?? I know I went to bed early for me———11:30. Usually I go much later because the later the better. I love being up late at night when it is quiet. There is no obligations, nothing that has to get done, no meals to prepare, the phone doesn’t ring. I can eat what I want without anyone’s comments.

I love the peace and quiet in the middle of the night but sometimes as I lay in my cozy, warm bed I am too lazy to get up in the cold dark night and go down the two flight of stairs to this computer.

However after tossing and turning for what seemed like most of the night I had had enough. So first stop was to the washroom. Where else? I read a few pages of the book I am currently reading and know where I am. So will I go back to bed. Who knows? I will check my email and then maybe I will and maybe I won’t. I have to be at my lesson at 10:30 so I have time to go back to bed. I can’t leave until the painter comes. That’s a pain because I would like to go to McDonalds for breakfast. Gee don’t you just love their hash browns??? It seems that there are many elderly people and others who go to McDonalds every morning. I guess it is a pleasant way to start the day. Many meet friends or make friends. At one restaurant a man came over to me and said good morning. He said that he doesn’t like to eat breakfast with strangers. CUTE!!!!

So this is now! Sitting with a sweater and my nightgown at this computer in my book room where most of the shelves are still empty. I guess I will unpack more books today BUT I have a busy day.

Isn’t this enough? Of course then I have to make supper…..onion soup!!!
