Posting like using a typewriter

Well I’m stuck home today with no car and an internet connection that is basically 2 cans and a piece of string and going crazy.  First off the stuck at home is since my car is in the shop for inspection which I fear it won’t pass and if the repairs are too much will have us car shopping in the next few weeks.  Basically it boils down to the book value is about $1500 to $2000, so if repairs are more than about $700 I’m looking for something newer.  In my mind it just doesn’t make sense to throw half or more of the value of the car into repairs.

As for the internet to connect I’m using the mobile hotspot feature on my cell phone which is super slow compared to the normal connection in the house.  Yesterday the wireless router died, Verizon claims it’s just he power cable but I have to wait 2 or 3 days to get the new one in the mail and then if it’s not the cable but the router I’ll have to wait again for the mail.  I’m going to sound like an old fuddy – duddy but I miss the day when the companies had offices you could go into and get service/parts on the spot instead of waiting days on end.  As for the mobile hotspot on the phone, yes it does work but is super slow and don’t try anything with a lot of graphics, then it works like dial up.
