No Mojo

Not sure what it is totally but somewhere along the line I lost my diary mojo. I think it was with trying to do Nomojo this year, the forced stilted writing just took something out of me. Not only did it take my desire to write out of me but I have found I haven’t been reading all that much and even when reading haven’t been noting. Now granted for a good portion of the time most of my reading has been on my phone and the keyboard while a full one is tough to type on.

Now using the phone was because of two factors, first being the busiest time of the year at work and for a few weeks there both before and after Christmas working extra hours and only having 1 day off during the week. Second was that our computer which had been on life support for a while finally crapped out and just wouldn’t work. That meant we got to go out and be very confused while trying to buy a new computer. In the end got a real sweet laptop that was super loaded and while we did pay more that we wanted to I think it was worth it. Bonus was that Cindi got the webcam she wanted and was able to sign up for skype so she can talk face to face with her brother in Australia.

Of course that came a little over a week after we had to go out and invest in a new camera when the old one crapped out with a week to go till Christmas. Found a good one in an ad for staples but got really pissed off in the store. First off the store didn’t have the sale sign up and thus had a higher price listed. Second the salesperson gave me real attitude when I pointed out the error and asked for the sale price. Then they really screwed up the sale, at least to me someone who also does sales, by not asking, and noting I would need, a memory card and spare batteries for the camera to even get it to work and use it for any real amount of time. I can only hope he was on and thus lost some money by not pointing that out.

Finally our coffee maker started leaking out all over counter so we needed to get a new one. I went with one of the single server brewers, specifically the Cuisinart that uses the Kuering K-Cups. I just love the fact that I can now get a fresh brewed cup when ever I want never really have much if anything to clean up.
