Tweaking to play the game

I had the weekend off and while it was busy it still relaxed me and it was nice to be away from work and the pressures there. The thing is we were in the Memorial Day sale but we are just not getting the traffic, it seems that the demand for mattresses just disappeared. But at the same time the rug sales have taken off which that had been dead for a while. So I’ve still got money coming in and not totally stressing over the bed sales being down.

Last week actually was real short week for me since I took a day off for Ella’s preschool graduation. They did a real cute program and Ella is usually so quiet was great and had a bible verse to say and was nice and loud and clear. Made me so proud.

As for jobs I’m still trying to find something a little more real career oriented but there just doesn’t seem to be anything out there or at least I don’t seem to hear back on any of the resumes I send out. I am trying to play a game with it and how I recently read how monster.com works. So last week I just made a minor tweak to my resume just so it shows up as new to employers searching the site. It did get me one response for a life insurance company looking for sales people. Unfortunately the day they are interviewing I have to work so that won’t go anywhere. Still it’s nice to see that the strategy might actually work. So I will now make a change a week and see if I can get anywhere with it. Or at least to a job where I’m not on my feet all the time.

Well got to head off to work now, have a great day and make someone smile.
