The news on the car wasn’t good in fact it was just as bad as it could get. Instead of a simple bad radiator hose or two the cylinder head is cracked. The cost to fix it is just about the same as the cost to simply drop a remanufactured engine in and go from there. The cost is $1,550 to $2,000 which is something that we just don’t have right now.

For the short term we have the luxury of being able to borrow my mom’s car since she doesn’t real drive all the much anymore.  Which is for the best since she doesn’t feel comfortable behind the wheel and at 81 her reaction times have really declined over the last few years.  For the longer term we will have to figure out what course of action will be best for us.

The thing that really sucks is overall we took real good care of the car and did everything you were supposed to do with regular oil changes and other items.  Then this happens which just bums me out.

In other news that sucks my work schedule for the week of Thanksgiving came out and black Friday I have the opening shift.  That means I’ve got to be in at 4:45 AM for a 5 AM opening.  I have no respect, really contempt for the idiots who insist on going out shopping so early.

Well got to go and get ready for work, so have a great day and smile.

Well if corporate didn’t offer such amazing sales at unholy times, people wouldn’t go out! It’s always the people who don’t actually have to go in the store and work that set the rules! I hate working on Black Friday. Ugh.
